In a day and an age when we work hard, and I mean really hard, why is it that we have to shake our heads in disbelief, and wonder what it takes to get others on the same page? Hence, there still are times in the Waukesha County Real estate market that I see the emergence of the Proverbial Dog and Pony Show. A few examples:1.) I go and reconfirm my appointment an hour away. "Now I am on my way and it's my intention to list your property. Is that your intention as well?" I get there and no one there. I shake my head. When I was younger and would hang out with my grandmother driving her nuts she would often suggest I go mow the yard, pull weeds, or do some physical work so I could appreciate a good days work. Often I would look in her refrigerator for food and comment that her ice box should be colder. Of which she would reply "You don't know how good you have it Tombo, I remember always scraping and cleaning the ice chest." I would then make some crack about not keeping tabs on the pioneers and from there I was out doing physical hard work.  One thing I always welcome when Lars and I drove through the Waukesha Country Real Estate market is all the beautiful old train stations and depots that have been preserved and are a welcome sight. The history that these beautiful stations and depots have are long ans wonderful. The large outstanding train station and depot in Oconomowoc is a great example. Of Course, you can find them in Waukesha County Real Estate and Milwaukee County Real Estate. I'm often the designated driver for my friends when we go some place to watch Packer Games. I can tell you my friends may have too many of these little gems.  When you enter a fine Wisconsin establishment or bar, tailgate party or restaurant and someone is celebrating you can tell they may go all out and order an aber gut (German for Oh Good!). Waukesha County Life has always been pretty interesting. Earlier in my life and to this day. I have found memories of hanging out with my grandfather when I was young.  Saturdays were a ritual; a trip to the dump so the guys could get together and chew the fat, in North Lake so he and his friends that had diabetes could eat their jelly donuts, and of course the cheese factory in Mapleton to get a half a brick of cheese. The Waukesha county cheese factories may have diminished but those memories will last for ever for me.
