Real Estate Sales For Vancouver Washington had a HUGE 2016!At the beginning of 2016 we opined this would be a good year for home sales in Vancouver WA however, the year we had just finished - 2015, was a blockbuster year so, if 2016 matched the prior year it would have been amazing.  Turns out, 2016 did perform better and this report will briefly summarize the total-year activity.  Highlights for the full-year 2016 include: 5,011 Resale Homes were sold in 2016, which is 123 More (2.5%) homes than were sold in 2015.   The 3-Month Moving Average Price Trend Line is now at 12.93% over the prior year, finishing at $304,273; with the 12-Month Moving Average now up 11.74%, finishing at $295,941.   Short Sale /Pre-Foreclosure property sales were 103 units (2.1% of total); substantially reduced...

Libraries (and the Books, Magazines, Video-media, and People therein) Change Lives! One of the great assets to any community, and certainly to Vancouver Washington and the greater Southwest Washington area is the local Library. We are fortunate to be served by the Fort Vancouver Regional Library system, which has many branch locations throughout the region. Seventh Heaviest One-Day Snowfall in 100 Years for Vancouver WA The Vancouver Washington area had a relatively heavy snowfall of between 10" and 12" depending on location. Most Winter Seasons in Vancouver WA we have only a Dusting or a Few Inches of Snow - BUT, Not this Year! Finishing up my Tuesday Evening Networking meeting at Hazel Dell Lanes, I left the establishment to see a good three (3") inches of snow outside when it had only been a few scattered flakes coming down when I had arrived earlier. Thanks to All-Wheel Drive the only "event" I had going home was the traffic signal at 78th street that could not "see" or "sense" we were waiting for our turn and it took three (3) full cycles before we got the Green Light! Condo Sales in Vancouver WA See Strong Activity Throughout 2016!   We have been seeing ever increasing popularity in Condo-style living here in Vancouver Washington.  The year 2016 has seen exceptionally strong demand, leaving us with a final Inventory Level of 0.8 Months - a Super Strong Seller's Market. Here are the highlights for the year: Condo Average Sales Prices are at record high levels, with the 3-Month Moving Average now at $213,427 closing up 4.9% over the prior December; with a peak seen in August at $215,658; and the 12-Month Moving Average also closed up 7.9% from the prior year;     644 Resale Condos were sold in 216, which is down about 18 (-2.7%) from 2015's condo sales - clearly a sign we've reached Capacity for this segment of  the overall Real Estate Market;   REO/Ba...
