Sammamish, Washington is the 11th best city in the nation, according to Money Magazine.  Located just south of Redmond (home of Microsoft) and east of tranquil Lake Sammamish, residents of Sammamish experience all the conveniences of the city while enjoying the peace and quiet of nature.  Sammamish's population of 40,000 is large enough to have all the amenities of a city, but small enough to be focused on the community as a whole.  This neighborly, supportive atmosphere extends into a number of public systems, including schools and parks.  As evidence of this, Sammamish public schools boast excellent test scores in every subject, and most students are active in local sports, music, or arts programs.  Job growth is well above the national average and the trend is expected to continue in...

The Sammamish Symphony orchestra has a free concert in the park next Thursday evening at the Pine Lake park in the city of Sammamish. The city has free summer concerts every year and is a real treat for everyone on balmy summer evenings. The concert theme is "Music from the Silver Screen" and includes classics like Tara's theme from Gone with the wind, as well as selections from James Bond, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Superman etc etc........... The Sammamish plateau is a wonderful place to live as it has tons of hiking trails and lakes. I have lived here for 10 years and love it! Of course, I shall also be playing at the concert. If you would like to meet me, i am the viola player who currently has a broken leg!

Friday's Did You Know? Four Seasons Resort at Beaver Lake in SammamishI love to sit back, sip on drinks of various colors and alcoholic content and listen to the surf drown the distant sound of the Ukulele as the sun cooks me.  These are the visions I have when I think of the Four Seasons Resort.  Did you know however, that Beaver Lake in the Sammamish Plateau had a Four Seasons of its own? Suddenly the above image is warped into chugging down a Rainier Beer, bundled into gortex, listening to Pearl Jam on the radio while stringing up my fly rod. In 1932 Gus and Lulu Bartels bought some waterfront land on the southwest shore of Beaver Lake and established the Four Seasons Resort. Gus and a friend of his Jake Lott built 15 cabins for the resort.  They decorated cabins with rented Frederic...

Sammamish waterfront homes are the best of the best.  They boast the most beautiful neighborhood in one of the most desirable cities in the state.   Residents of Sammamish waterfront homes are living their dreams (or, at the very least, living in their dreams).Located on the east side of Lake Sammamish, these houses are in the heart of quiet, tranquil nature, while still being minutes away from the city's amenities.  Unlike Lake Washington to the west, Lake Sammamish is not always noisy with ferries, crowded bridges, and other activities.  Lake Sammamish truly is an oasis in the middle of a non-stop urban environment. Sammamish waterfront homes reflect the peacefulness of the lake.  Spacious and well-designed, residents love waking up every morning to relaxing comfort.   Large kitchens ...

Has anybody ever heard of Soaring Eagle Park, in Sammamish? Until a few months ago neither had I, even though I'd enjoyed the park dozens of times. That's because I'd always called this park "The Beav" because it's near Beaver Lake. Me and my mountain biking buddies have long appreciated the extensive trail system and the quick drive to the Park from Bellevue and other Eastside locations. It continues to be one of the best areas for mountain bike riding (and walking, running, equestrian activities, etc.) but that may soon be affected by development plans for the 628 acre park. The City of Sammamish plans to develop 30 acres of the park for conversion to sports fields, primarily soccer, as I understand it.  Now I'm a huge soccer fan. I like to watch the sport and to play it, and I've lon...
