As has become our family custom, we headed over to Crystal Ridge to visit my in laws, and enjoy the neighborhood's unoffical fireworks display/competition for the 4th of July. We were a bit apprehensive this year as much of the local TV news had been focused on how tight the economy was, and the negative effects for fireworks sales. We were all hoping that we would still see good participation from a neighborhood that has gotten to be quite well known for having some awesome displays that rival some of the local commercial events.
