Arsenic and Old Lace is one of my favorite plays. How fortunate that it will playing all this week at the theatre at St. Mike’s College. Arsenic and Old Lace tells the tale of two spinster old lady sisters who are benevolent in their community. Their latest 'charity project' is relieving old men of their loneliness by poisoning them with arsenic in their elderberry wine. Sounds morbid, however it is quite funny. So come on out and support the theatre at St. Michael's Playhouse!  If you would like to attend, you can see this play from Tuesday July 22nd through Saturday July 26th at St. Mike’s College, Route 15 in Colchester, Vermont. Mazza Corn Maze in Colchester Vermont is a wonderful place to visit! The three-mile-long corn maze has 12 stations for wanderers to find and you can ever register to win a prize! Along with the corn maze, there is a petting area with different types of farm animals. There is also a country store with fresh grown vegtables and a variety of home made foods. Yummmmm!   Emily and I decided to visit the maze last year and see what all the hype was about. Actually, I wanted to go hiking, however it was starting to get late and she wasn't exactly in the best of condition for a long hike! It has been a long time since I have visited the Burlington bike path so yesterday seemed as good as any to make another voyage on the path across Burlington's waterfront. Uncertain of the weather and a late arrival of a client for a showing did not deter me for seeking some type of adventure. Small in scale, yet intriguing to the imagination to see the repaired Causeway in Colchester.  For those not from the area and for those who are and just need a little reminder, the causeway suffered major damage a few years ago due to  the 2011 flooding of Lake Champlain from excessive snow melt and rainfall in the early spring. Bike Path re-opens on May 23rd! I was thrilled to read in today's Burlington Free Press that the Colchester Causeway Bike Path has officially re-opened as of four days ago.  The Colchester Causeway Bike Path is at the northern end of the Burlington Bike Path.  It had been extensively damaged during the record floods two years ago with many parts of the bike path being impassible.  Many avid cyclists, myself included, have been anxiously awaiting the official re-opening.  The revitalization of the bike path has caused it to be improved over even its pre-flood condition.  The surface is much better.  Whereas before, the Colchester Causeway Bike Path was more suitable for mountain bikes or hybrid bicycles, now the surface is conducive to regular thin tired road bikes as well.
