Jan and I took a couple days off to visit Colonial Williamsburg VA. I haven't been since my parents took me as a kid. My wife and children make pilgrimages here on a fairly routine basis, but when I have time off....I want to go to the beach. Well it's too cold for that, so off we go for a worldwind tour of Williamsburg VA. It is just off  route 64 east about 45 minutes out of Richmond on the way to Virginia Beach. Snow in Williamsburg   We had snow in Williamsburg during the last weekend of January and the first week of February, yes I said snow in Williamsburg in Virginia!               It was so beautiful when we woke up and saw that snow had covered everything!  The latest storm (February 6, 2010) left a layer of ice on the tree branches and snow piled up on the branches of evergreen and pine trees.  It was absolutely spectacular!                The trees that were covered in ice sparkled like diamonds in the sun!
