Class sizes are ok and the school buildings are in good conditions. Safety is still a concern as well as the saleries of teachers and staff according to a recent survey. Nanci Glassman, a consultant with Continental Research Associates, conducted the survey said the results overall painted a glowing picture of what parents, others in the general public and school employees think of the district. The percent of parents who said they are satisfied with the public schools jumped from 74.4 percent in 2000 to 83.7 percent in 2007. The percentage of employees who said they were satisfied increased from 80.2 percent in 2000 to 92 percent in 2007.
