I think I can... I think I can... I think I see the TRAIN!

With Phase 1 64% complete, we are well on our way to seeing a train coming down the rail! The image below shows the last fly-over track for Phase 1 being constructed, bridging tracks between Route 7 and Route 267. The Dulles Metrorail construction began back in March of 2009 with the first phase on schedule to be completed by 2013. It will extend the metrorail from East Falls Church to Wiehle Avenue in Reston, VA. You can now see the station (image below) from the Toll Road! While there is no set start date for Phase 2, it will extend the railway into Eastern Loudoun and to include a stop at Dulles International Airport. For a map of the metrorail, click here.
