This is one of the market reports I publish on a monthly basis for OCCOQUAN. ZIP code 22125.  Many REALTORS® prepare a report for all of Prince William County or Northern Virginia.  In my opinion, that covers too broad an area to be meaningful.  I do believe my approach will give you a much more realistic picture of the market in the area closest to your home. There were no homes settled in September 2007 The chart below shows all the Town Homes and Detached Homes available in Occoquan.                  CONTACT ME for assistance with OCCOQUAN AND PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY REAL ESTATE

Occoquan is a Douge Indian word meaning "at the end of the water".  Although not certain, it is believed the Dpgues stayed there due to large quantities of fish and the river making canoe travel easy.  It's location on the Occoquan River at the head of the tidewater made it a favorable site for water-borne traffic. As early as 1736 a tobacco warehouse was built.  By the beginning of the 19th century Occoquan had forges, grist mills, rolling mills, a bake house, storehouses and residences.  By the mid-19th century it was a bustling town with two hotels.   The picture at the right is a view of the shops along Mill Street which runs from east to west along the Occoquan River.       The picture at the left is a view of Commerce Street which is the other main east to west street in ...

Tucked between the Occoquan River and the hills that lead into the Lake Ridge area of Prince William County is the oasis of historic Occoquan.  With its one way streets quaint shops and waterfront restaurants it is an area that those in the know have enjoyed for years. Development of new homes has been rare over the years due to limited space.  However a few new developments are underway that take advantage of the waterfront and the hills close by.  If you are looking for the ultimate waterfront luxury then you want to check out the new Gaslight Landing development. Gaslight Landing features 20 riverfront 4 level townhouses with elevators.  Each townhouse comes with a deeded boat slip that will accommodate a 40' boat.  From the private slip you will be able to head out the Occoquan Rive...
