Falls Church is a suburb of Northern Virginia and within it lies the small lakeside community of Lake Barcroft. A main attraction is its accessibility from several key locations, such as D.C., Fort Myer and the Pentagon, which makes this area ideal for people looking for a residence location with a more suburban, small-town feel, but still within reach of the vibrant urban living of the nation's capital. Residents of Lake Barcroft can benefit from the entertainment provided by the numerous events, activities and attractions provided by Washington D.C., not only to tourists, but also neighboring areas. Adding to its entertainment value are world famous monuments, iconic government landmarks, and famed museums (one of the most notable being the Smithsonian). Northern Virginia is well-know...

Condo market in Falls Church VA The condo market in Falls Church Virginia appears to have responded to the first-time home-buyer's tax credit with a spike in activity and prices just as the tax credit ended. The market fell drastically after the credit ended, returned to levels seen just before the approach of the deadline. Interestingly, the median price of a condo in Falls Church is trending upward, but is statistically at almost the same point as it was this time last year. The number of listings in Falls Church (among all real estate offered) has gone up this month. The Little City, Falls Church, Virginia is a unique small town located just outside of Washington, D.C.  There are many reasons that it is such a popular community; I detailed many of them in yesterday's blog, The Little City, Falls Church, Virginia.  One of the highlights of living in Falls Church is the proximity to an incredible number  of excellent restaurants. 111 Lounsbury Place, in the City of Falls Church is centrally located near the intersection of Washington St (Rt. 29). and E. Broad (Rt. 7).  Besides being an elegant and spacious all Brick Towhouse with 3 bedrooms (and an optional 4th) and 3.5 bathrooms--reason enough for most people to be interested-- it is minutes away from a dizzying number of restaurants.  Wouldn't it be nice to come home at night and be seated for dinne...

A Letter from My Sellers In getting ready to list 111 Lounsbury Place in Falls Church, I asked my sellers to provide me with some thoughts on why they love their house and the community.  What they provided was so heartfelt and informative that I decided to just include it in the information about this listing. If you are wondering why you should consider this property for your new home, I hope you take a couple of minutes to read the owner's thoughts on what they love about living in Falls Church: So there is this nice luxury townhome in a very private of enclave of 17 homes in a community called Churchview.  It’s located in Falls Church City and it is close to everything – we are talking about “walking close.”  10 of the 17 homeowners have been here since the townhomes were built 15 y...
