I wanted to spread the word about National Night Out.  Myself & my wonderful husband, Dana, hosted our neighborhood event for the 4th year.  Each year we have had more people come out to meet & greet their neighbors and our police officers.  This year, our neighborhood Dominoes donated pizzas.  We had a water balloon toss for the kids, "Safe Neighborhood" poster contest, and the ice cream truck came by for a while!  We have had this event for the last 4 years at our neighborhood playground, which is in danger of being sold by our city for private development.  I would love to hear any opinions, ideas and/or success stories about the value of a neighborhood park/playground that we may add to our citizens response to the city. Thanks! Betty Estes Colonial Heights, Virginia
