I received a message from a client the other day. "Would you like to see what we have done to our house?" It was a young couple, first time home buyers. A while back I wrote a post on a neighborhood anchor store closing. We were wondering about the impact of this closure. http://activerain.com/blogs/rgdlm/tags/albertsons   I Just passed by a guy holding a sign. "Store Closing, Kmart, this store only, Everything must go! This should get really interesting now. I don';t know how all of the little satellite stores will be able to hang on now. This Kmart store is the other anchor store in a shopping complex. The stores are on a rather busy corner off theBangerter Highway and 5400 South.     I would almost have to chalk tthis one up to poor customer service. It has been quite a while since I shopped regularly in this store. It took forever to check out, even if there was nobody in line. Usually only one cashier. It seems one of my early posts on activerain is found when people Google Taylorsville Fire department, they find my post. I have had many calls over time from people trying to reach the fire department. Usually they are wanting to set up a tour for the scouts or a school class. Not Just a dog park, Millrace Park, Taylorsville, Utah I have been driving past this park for years. It is highly popular among dog owners. Except for the day I decided to take pictures of the park, it seems like there are always dogs and dog owners there.    There is a fish pond, A large field for soccer, softball or ultimate frisbee. A great children's playground            Multiple Pavillions Is part of the Jordan River Parkway The Jordan River Parkway runs for the better part from Lehi to Salt Lake City with biking trails fishing, canoeing, kayaking, skating, jogging and many other uses. Back to school againI just dropped my daughter off for a new school year. As I did so I saw parents that appeared to be leaving their precious cargo at the school for the first time. There was an incredible buzz all around the school. My daughter woke up extra early and dawned her new outfit and could hardly wait to get to the first day of school. There were other parents who have done this what would seem like a hundred times. I applaud the teachers and other administrators for taking on such an important task of teaching. I think the values of our monetary system are messed up. Teachers have the ability of molding lives, shaping destiny, and have at times profound effect on the lives of their students.
