I just got back from seeing Nick Vujicic here in Salt Lake City, Utah during his 3 day event 'Life without Limits'. Life Without Limbs :: Nick Vujicic Born without arms or legs Nick  has the attitude of 'Walking on Water'. His faith and resolve has pushed him into a ministry of reaching out to the hurt, lost and broken.  Many of us don't see ourselves as lost or broken but we are.  If we let circumstance and situations cause us to react or become harden, we are broken, if we have an unforgivingng heart, lack of grace and understanding towards others we are broken. His message is one that helps us see that our reaction is often based on feelings and not always a reality.    From a business stand point he gives the message of encouragement, perseverance, positive attitude and hope.  So ma...

If your clients are looking for an FHA mortgage loan- Now is the BEST time ever to buy a home in Utah! You already know this, but sometimes it takes multiple personalities to convey why now is the time to our buyers and borrowers. FHA rates are below 5% for the first time with many of our lenders. We have seen it reach 5% before but never below that without extra points. The $8,000 tax credit for first time homeowners is ending soon, so if fencesitters are not searching for homes or making offer have them call me so that I can assist in getting a fire lit under them and get them busy becoming homeowners. There is inventory out there- Let me help get your buyers pre-approved before you go looking. That way if there is an issue with credit or asset verification we can get the problem reso...

I have been a mortgage broker for 9 years now. I am as confident as I ever have been that from the standpoint of the consumer looking for a loan, a mortgage broker who has the ability to look at several banks and is working directly on the behalf of the consumer is the best method of obtaining a mortgage loan. A loan officer working for a bank, is getting paid money by the bank. There is no direct correlation between their paycheck and a loan closing. As an independent broker, money is only paid after the service is delivered. Thus, there is a vested interest in getting the loan done correctly and quickly. When clients call me or agents refer their clients to me it is because they trust the advice that I am giving them, and they know I will explore all options and clearly define why I r...

SEASON OPENER FOR THE COUGERS Way to go BYU Cougers, WHAT A GAME!!  Down to the wire, last 3 minutes and the  #20 ranked cougs pull it off against # 3 ranked Oklahoma 14-13.  BYU vs. Oklahoma preview  Held in the New Cowboy 100,000 State of the Arts Stadium in Arlington Tx.  Last years Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford was side lined by a shoulder injury and BYU QB Max Hall took advantage.  This was a big upset and major victory for the Mountain West Conference making a mark to move into the elite  statis. No more beating #1 rank teams, an undefeated season and because of the position of the Mountan West Conference Utah wasn't ranked #1. Thank You BYU for making your mark tonight. If you didn't see the game tonight you missed a great one!!      On the other score cards College Football...

DEBBIE ALDRICH SALT LAKE COUNTY REAL ESTATE 801-870-0606; 5 STAR PIC OF THE WEEK OF BEST EATS Get ready for an explosion of taste, textures and heat!  I have had sushi from coast to coast but never like sushi at Takashi's in Salt Lake County in Salt Lake City.  I don't think I can do Justice to this great restaurant unless we had cybertasting.   It is my understanding that Takashi in Salt Lake County studied in France and blends the 2 amazing cuisines to create something extraordinary, almost ying and yang.  If you can imagine popping a a piece of a sushi roll in your mouth and the sensation of varying textures, flavors and a rising hint of heat that only gets better with every bit that's Takashis's in Salt Lake City.  Takashi's is known for using a variety of peppers and unusual combin...

Let me begin by saying Thank you to our Armed Forces! Debbie Aldrich 801-870-0606 Salt Lake County Real Estate This morning I woke up to hear about someone else being sent to Iraq for a second tour.  Over the years I have known many that have gone to Iraq or Afghanistan.  I was raised in the Military and spent many years as an adult and child in the Middle East and various other countries.  I love the Middle Eastand have seen first hand the hard work our Men and Women are doing on our behalf.  My father served in several wars including Desert Storm ( as a civilian after he retired), funny thing I had been living in Saudi Arabia prior to my parents for two years and convinced them to join me when they were given the opportunity .  I stayed two more years then left just before Desert Sto...

I have been specializing in helping Home Buyers with Purchase Mortgage Loans in the Salt Lake City area, and all of Utah since 1999.  In that time I have seen very few programs that provided as great an incentive to purchase a home as the current $8,000 tax credit for First-Time Buyers. Unfortunately, this program is coming to an end on November 30th, and far too few people even know it exists.  If you are a First-Time Buyer OR if you haven't owned a home in 3 years, you are eligible for this program.  Here are a couple of important points about the program if you are considering the purchase of a new home: 1.  The Tax Credit is refundable, meaning it can decrease your tax to less than $0, and you get the difference back.  If you already received a tax refund, you will receive an ADDITI...

Beginning October 1, there will be some changes to the Approval process for FHA Condo loans in Salt Lake City and nationwide. Up until now, Condo projects were either already approved and listed on HUD’s website for FHA financing, or they could be “spot approved” for FHA loans, meaning the lender could get evidence that the Condo project met FHA guidelines and approve a loan on one of the units. This DIDN’T approve the project through HUD though, so the next time someone wanted to get an FHA loan on a unit in the same project, they also had to go through the “spot approval” process. Under the new rules, FHA lenders will have the authority to actually approve a Condominium project for HUD. This means that there will be no more “spot approvals”, but once a loan is done on a unit in a deve...
