Football at it's best, Utah has it!!  Utah has some great sport venues in Salt Lake City.  If you are a sports fan you'll love living here!!  We have the NBA UtahJazz, Baseball , the Bees, outdoor sports,, ski racing, dogsled racing, and Collegiate sports.  Saturday night delivered, the University of Utah 08'-09' undefeated running Utes football team pulled out another win!  This another reason to relocate to Salt Lake City. Thanks to my good friend we sat up in the suite area of the stadium, it was perfect night for football clear skies, black out night ( team wore black and fans) almost full moon.  The Utes won 22 to 10 over Wyoming.  I don't think there is a nicer stadium in a more beautiful setting.  Utah and Salt Lake City has it all for the Utah Sports  enthusiast, so come join th...

Using Your Blog To Enhance Existing Relationships   Part 2 When I started this blogging venture back in July it was a whole new world for me.  I had little computer skills other than the basics.  I was fortunate to have someone take me under his wing and show me the ropes of blogging and maneuvering through social media and the internet.   This took my business into a new dimension.  I launched my bogs into so many sites I am now linked to reaching as many people as possible.  I focus on Market Reports, local events, local restaurants, listings, anything I feel would benefit the consumer whether living in Utah or relocating to Utah. I have used my blog almost like a website, although I have a web site.  I have my active rain link www.activerain.com/Luv2ski on all my emails, mailings, w...

Hot off the Presses!!!  Good news after all!  Senators agreed Wednesday to extend a popular tax credit for first-time homebuyers and to offer a reduced credit to some repeat buyers. The tax credit provides up to $8,000 to first-time homebuyers but is set to expire at the end of November. Senators agreed to extend the existing tax credit for FirstTime Home Buyer  while offering a reduced credit of up to $6,500 to repeat buyers who have owned their current homes for at least five years.  The tax credits would be available to home buyers who sign agreements by the end of April. They would have until the end of June to close on their new homes.  Senators were still negotiating the expansion of a separate tax credit that lets money-losing businesses get refunds for taxes paid in previous yea...

Wordless Wednesday( sort of)....Let it Snow , Let it snow,  Let it Snow..... It started snowing yesterday and this morning I woke up to a Valley of white.  It's beautiful in Utah when it snows.  I am grateful to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle living on the Bench of the Mountains of Salt Lake City.    A view from my deck across the socked in Valley of Salt Lake City I have spent a week recovering from a terrible flu that just about did me in.  Ugh. I'm still not a 100% but my great tip of the day is get some Umkca Drops at the first sign of illness it will nip it in the bud.  Stay healthy out there!!

Using Your Blog To Enhance Existing Relationships Thanks Bob for the contest, I can always use more points. Recently I got a commercial listing, one of the tools I used to build that relationship with that client was send him some of my past blogs.  He wanted some insight on me and my business.   I explained how I use blogging as a tool to reach out into the Internet to get my message out or information on a listing.  I also explained how I link my blog  to many sights and how I use the Google juice I get from blogging to get on the front page of Google.  I emailed several of my blogs on Commercial Real Estate in Utah as well as other blogs to give him a sense of who I am. I also email myself my blogs and forward them on to my SOI which includes my preferred vendors such as my Title com...

We need Positive Price Action to confirm market bottom.  One month of price improve isn't sufficient to confirm the market bottom.  We need to see appreciation month over month for three months. PRICE ACTION   Other good signs in addition to positive price action is lower DOM (days of the market), lower new listings and higher percent of new listings being SOLD.    SUMMARY Currently we are not seeing the needed positive price action (along with other indicators) to confirm a market bottom.  This is NOT a good time for those with low and/or no risk tolerance to purchase.  High and medium risk tolerant investors are making buying decisions and are doing some bottom fishing.  Some are trying to time the market and market timing is risky.  Trying to time the bottom is not for the inexperien...

Sunday in Salt Lake City Sunday in Salt Lake City for me has always been a time to spend with family, friends, my God and reflecting on how the week went and how the coming week can be better!!  I always want to be my best, continue to evolve in that direction by learning more, listening more to the needs of my family, friends and clients and being available to those I care about.  Anyone who says they won't or can't change are nothing more than a broken record, stick in the mud  bore!  We are ever changing creatures and I hope to never stop!   Often through my many life's ( no I'm not Shirley McLean, I've just done so many things it feels like it) have said I am like Madonna, forever reinventing myself!  Life has taken me on many journeys and given me many opportunities.  Shouldn't we ...
