A convenient grocery store, a shopping pleasure. Harmons on City Creek (100 S State Street - downhill from Eagle Gate) in Salt Lake City Utah, adjacent to the City Creek Center provides for modern grovery shopping in the heart of the city. Harmons is 21st Century with still a feeling of old world friendliness. It is colorful and charming, an experience, and a service to its customers. I can lunch there on the cafeteria level, observing the shiny store below, catching up with some reading in relative quiet, or get hot food to go from changing selections on the store level. I can observe the Cooking School, or post a letter.  And what a great sushi selection. Equal space is given to local competitors, the U of U, and BYU displays. Breads, cheeses, meats, fruit and vegetables (including man...

Memory Grove Park is dedicated to the memory of Utah residents who fought and died in the World Wars. It is located at the mouth of City Creek Canyon, just east of the State Capitol. Tucked away and hidden, Memory Grove Park features beautiful water and grass areas and lots of trees and plants. It is a great place to picnic with the family read a book or take an adventurous stroll with your pooch in the amazing off leash portion of the park. It is also a popular place for photographers to shoot bridal and engagement photos. There are many weddings and receptions at the Memorial House reception center. This park is definitely my favorite parks here in the Salt Lake Valley.  My family and dog visit it often. View Larger Map
