Spirit horse or merely drift wood? An artist's conception of one of nature's most majestic animals, created with pieces of intertwined drift wood, no glue or screws to hold it together. I can just imagine it gracing the open desert plains, throwing up dirt while it charges ever forward, pounding a pattern into the drifting sand, then quietly seeking solace for the day in a slow gait. Need a change of view? Ride a camel! Tuacahn Ampitheatre offered camel rides during the Festival of Lights for $5 and money well spent! I eagerly stood in line with children a third my size, becoming giddy, watching my son and his girlfriend take their turn, openly laughing with bright smiles on their faces! How exciting!   I had to climb the stairs to get at the right height and then straddle his back to get situated. His hump was warm and his hair very soft and curly as we began a short journey around the parking lot. His padded feet barely made noise when he walked on the concrete while he gently swayed from one side to the other. And the best thing is...he smelled good! The Real Reason for the Season! We had the privilege of seeing the Live Naitivity for the first time this year at Tuacahn Ampitheatre in Ivins, Utah. The show lasted a mere 20 minutes but gave an thorough history of the birth of Christ and the true meaning of Christmas.  It is a memorable event that continues to draw people yearly, night after night.
