The Cedar City Real Estate Market has some great smaller subdivisions.  Cove Ridge is one of those, it doesn’t have a lot homes, but the homes that are there are really nice ones.  Cove Ridge is staying in the same general area of town as the two Black Rock Subdivisions.  Cove Ridge is comprised of what I would call move up style homes. There is some fun activities planned for tomorrow night.  The Iron County Fair has some preliminary events scheduled prior to the official start of the fair.  Tonight is one such event.  It is Demolition Derby Time at the Iron County Fair. Many places in the country the “Big Box” stores have a terrible reputation.  Here in Cedar City we are glad to have a “Big Box” store that has a heart.  We have been having some torrential cloud bursts in the past few weeks, a couple of them have resulted in some serious flash flooding.  This has resulted in several homeowners literally being underwater in their basements. Because our typical flood season is during the Spring snow melt, we don’t often have a surplus of sandbags to help residents block the water from entering their homes.  This past week we experienced a severe storm a couple of dozen homes were flooded.  There were hundreds of people from the community who came to the aide of these homeowners.  These volunteers were filling and dispersing sand bags, and helping clean ou... 08/23/2012

The Cedar City Real Estate Market doesn’t have a lot of gated communities.  In fact Legacy Estates is our first and currently, only gated community in Cedar City.  This is a subdivision of Mansions.  It is a small subdivision in number, but not in size of the homes.  The entire subdivision is not gated, just the select mansions inside of it.  The subdivision its self is still comprised of custom or executive size and style homes.  This is an exclusive subdivisions  These homes don’t come up for sale very often.
