The Sheep Parade will be from 10 AM down Main Street to 200 North.  This is part of the Livestock and Heritage Festival.  There will be many more events as a part of the Livestock and Heritage Festival, some of them are, the vintage car and tractor show, Dutch Oven cook off, rodeo and dirt dance.  There will be more going on than just that, but these are some of the highlights at least to me!  The Festival will be at the Cross Hollows Events Center. There is the Color Country Quilt and Youth Art Show at the Heritage Center,105 North 100 East in Cedar City.  This will take place from 10 AM to 5 PM.  The “Spook” tacular event the Cedar Aquatic Center will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.  Admission is free.  There will be a costume parade, trick or treating, a child friendly spook alley. ...

There are some fun activities tonight to get ready for Halloween.  Here are some of them.  We will start alphabetically from the bottom of course, with the Zombie Walk.  This will begin at 6 PM at the Main Street Park, 200 North Main Street in Cedar City.  This activity will also feature a screening of the classic “Night of the Living Dead” at the Historic Cedar Theater at 7 PM.  Tickets for the movie are $5, and for those who come in costume, you will be entered for a cool prize. Let us continue with the Zombie Prom.  This will be at the Cedar Skate and Fun Center, 912 North Airport Road, Cedar City.  The cost is $7 or $5 with a can of food to donate.  There will be “Prom” photos available for an additional $5.  The Zombie Prom will begin at 9 PM and go until Midnight.  Monster Movie a...

I have mentioned before that one of the great assets in the Cedar City Real Estate Market is all of the smaller communities and cities that we work in.  I am for today highlighting a  subdivision is in Parowan, the Red Hills Subdivision.  It is on the East side of Parowan near State Road 143.  This is a nice subdivision in a really quiet part of town.  This is a subdivision that is in a gorgeous location near the mouth of Parowan Canyon. One of the Great Subdivisions in the Cedar City Real Estate Market is Fiddlers Canyon.  It is a large subdivision built in 9 phases at the Northeast part of Cedar City.  It borders the Ashdown Forest Subdivision.  Fiddlers Canyon mainly consists of move up style homes, but there are some custom homes, there are also some customized tract type homes.  I should add that there are some twin homes as well, but it is mostly a “move up” subdivision. Here in Cedar City, we have a few subdivisions that are twin homes and or town homes.  Sage Park is one of the twin home subdivisions.  It is a great first time homebuyer subdivision that was built in 2005.  This is a subdivision that investors bought heavily into, so there are a lot of rental properties currently in the subdivision.  The design on some of these twin homes was unique in that, the front entry was moved to the side of the house.  There currently are no homes listed for sale, but there are several listed as rentals.
