Laugh...It'll Do A Body & Mind Good!  Where do bad rainbows go?To prism. It's a light sentence, but it gives them time to reflect. . . .At times, life takes us to uncharted places of pain or offers up overwhelming circumstances outside the scope of control. One thing that has helped me get through some tough days, is the ability to find humor in little things and laugh! Laughter really is contagious! Have you ever noticed that when you hear a good belly laugh that you can't help but to chuckle yourself? Laughter reduces stress levels. Having a stressful day? Stop and think of something funny that happened to you and let yourself go!  Laughter is good for the heart. Laughter lightens your mood by releasing endorphins into your body and elevating thought processes. It also gives the abdom...

Peanut the Frenchie PrincessPeanut, our first Grandbaby girl, who grabbed our hearts and squeezed tight from the start, crossed the rainbow bridge on July 11th, 2024. Though her time here on Earth was limited, the love she shared was boundless and will last forever. Peanut leaves behind a heartbroken family. We are so grateful for all the affectionate wet kisses, the endless enthusiasm for car rides, running and exploring, chewing on sticks and rocks, plus the unwavering loyalty to all her loved ones. She had a knack for making every day brighter, her Frenchie charm and upbeat spirit was a constant source of joy. Peanut may be gone, but the unbreakable bond she forged will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts. We love you Peanut. 🐾🖤🐾

A Southern Utah Sunrise in My EyesSmoke from wildfires in other areas, tend to create amazing sunrises and sunsets on the Southern Utah skyline. My husband sent me this photo as a way of brightening the morning and the words came together to create this poem. Enjoy! Dawn breaks bold and grand,Casting bright from sky to land.A neonized dance for all to see,Blazing wisps alight ’n float free.Breathing ignition to a fiery blaze,Burning red to gold in sunup’s haze.~ Wanda Kubat-Nerdin c-24

Do they smell Bengay and run away? Some pain relieving creams, like Bengay, are associated with older people. Many people find the menthol smell invigorating, while others find it overpowering. Age might not be the biggest factor, especially among die-hard athletes. Of course, if a new real estate agent is looking for any excuse to be somewhere else and skip the training session, then so be it. The desire to learn, most often, is more powerful than any topical salve that tickles the olefactory senses. Unrealistic agents now want some magic bullet that quickly guides them to success. There isn't such a thing and the best way to learn is from those who have been in the trenches, long term and if that means 'older', then so be it! Motivation matters when the focus is on being in a learning...

High Density is a Developer's Dream Land remains a most valuable investment and builder's often maximize their profits by subdividing it into smaller footprints when developing residential housing. Crowding reduces construction costs but can create strained infrastructure when essential commercial services lag behind buyer demand.   Thankfully, consumers can choose their way of life according to their credit, stream of income, employment and Wants/Wish List. Whether it be a condo in a walkable neighborhood, mixed with commercial businesses,  or a sprawling mansion in a 24-hour gated community. Below are some examples. Single Family HomesStand alone residences typically garner a higher price but are much preferred because of more choices when it comes to architecture styles, sizes and ya...

I met Chloe Jacobs at our neighborhood’s Literary Guild event. One of my neighbors and friends hosted the event at her home. She is a very well-known organist. She even played the organ in Israel. She is one amazing accomplished world-cultured woman and I am so blessed to know her. She is well into her 80’s and I pray she will remain with us for years to come. Her husband turned their garage into her organ room and opened it up to the living room so that an audience can enjoy a full organ with the pipes and all. It is an amazing site to see and to experience the depth of the sound from that organ. Oh my… I discovered a hidden gem! Thai Neighbor Cuisine just made the top of my list of the best Thai restaurants in Provo Utah and Utah County! Delicious is an understatement! My visit was nothing short of exceptional, and I’m excited to share my experience with you. Finding the Best Dish at Thai Neighbor Cuisine 1 in Provo Utah Intrigued by their promise of authentic Thai flavors, I decided to try their famous Massaman Curry with Tofu. It’s loved for its creamy texture and aromatic spices. It didn’t disappoint! All their curries are made with coconut milk. My granddaughter ordered the Red Curry with Beef. This was also very tasty. You can specify your spice from 1 to 5, 1 is mild, 5 is spicy. We like spicy. We also enjoyed their Pad Thai with vegetables, a dish I’m usually cautious ab...

Summer in Southern Utahhh Is Heating Up! A potential buyer was looking at recent temperatures in southern Utah and is not sure he wants to move here, as it is hot! 🔥 I responded with..."The beauty of living in the high desert is abundant sunshine, typically exceeding 300 days a year.  Besides, you can always remain indoors on hotter days." Plus:In an arid climate, there is less mold, mildew and allergens that can trigger flare-ups and the sun gives the body a boost to Vitamin D levels. Golfing on championship courses, hiking, running, biking, fishing, camping and gazing up at star-filled skies are just a few of the activities you can enjoy year-round.  Also:Spending time in nature is known to have a calming effect, especially with the scenic hardscapes, state and National Parks. Winters...

Eating at Your Table New to the neighborhood, a homeowner began preparing a meal in anticipation for many people to celebrate the special occasion. He asked his daughter to contact relatives and friends to eat with them. His daughter, who was physically challenged went down the list, calling everyone they knew, then rolled her wheelchair around the neighborhood, asking them to help unload the moving truck.  After several minutes, a small group of people arrived, apparently the rest were too busy to help. Those who came, ate and drank, staying well into the evening. Afterwards, the stunned father turned to his daughter and said,  “The people who showed up I didn’t know. So, where are our relatives and friends?" The daughter replied,  “Those who came out of their homes came to help us tod...

Nerdin Gardens: Talk Dirt To Me It's thirsty work to keep all plants watered properly in Nerdin Gardens and I always pro-seed with caution. Too much and bottom rot occurs, too little and the leaves on plants wilt and then there's pesky pests to contend with, specifically those that bore into the stems.  There’s never a dill moment around here plus remembering to sow between the lines makes plants happy. They will talk dirt, out loud even! This is what was heard this morning when picking fruits and vegetables for a garden salad later today for me and My Honey... "I love you so bunch.""My rooting heart beets for you!""It’s party thyme, I be-leaf in you.""I love peas and quiet.""You are one in a melon!" A well tended garden pays off in gratituitous affection especially when we are mint to ...

In One...Out The Other In an industry built on truth, consistency and accuracy, there are times when that all can and will be tested. Recently, during a transaction in progress, the title company gave out incorrect information regarding signer authorization on a contract. It created an atmosphere of distrust, immediately. The excuse, when asked why this company would allow a rep to be customer facing, if lacking in work experience. "Oh, she shouldn't have given that information to you." Utter nonsense, in my opinion!  If the source is unreliable when expertise is expected, it can be detrimental to all involved. From a professional standpoint, the company fell short. The erroneous remark almost halted forward progression. With fraud increasing in numbers every day, consumers need to trus...

Glad-handing Feels Icky Glad-handing means being overly friendly to people who have never met in person before, as a way of scoring an advantage. Also known as schmoozing or lavishing someone with compliments to impress, that often feel superficial. Politicians, celebrities and tik-tok performers regularly do this to gain a following. Admirers may also fawn over them, claiming to be their biggest fan, as an ulterior motive to gain favor or a closer position. Name-dropping is often played up. In business and life in general, I prefer a sincere, hands-on approach with a front-facing attitude. It tends to be a genuine way to get to know people and to further solidify relationships. Loyalty, for all the right reasons exists, believe it or not! Am more than willing to relay information that ...

Where Was Fry Sauce Invented? Fry sauce, once called “pink sauce,” began in a small burger place in Provo during the 1950s. Two friends, Max Peay and Ron S. Taylor, who worked at an Arctic Circle franchise, mixed ketchup and mayo for fun. People loved it so much that it replaced regular ketchup. The sauce got really famous, and someone from Arctic Circle noticed it and took it to their main office. Even though Arctic Circle said it was theirs, everyone knew it began in that tiny Provo restaurant. Ron’s family later changed their place into Stan’s Drive-in, and the sauce continued to be super popular. Other burger spots in Utah, like Iceberg Drive Inn and Crown Burgers, started using it, too! The whole Arctic Circle story began in 1941 when Don Carlos Edwards opened his first restaurant ...
