Towering turbines reaching upward toward a vanilla sky set the perfect backdrop to contrast this gorgeous grain crop, grown by Hollis Swanberg of Swanberg Farms (Lyford, TX). With combine in lead and buggy in tow, the harvest team works in unison to optimize productivity, maximize efficiency, and play to each others' strengths in the field. Although the combine could do the job alone, the role of the hopper serves to keep the ace in her place -- doing the most good by focusing solely on the job that only she can do... her "1 thing". Now, instead of breaking to fill trailers, tractor and buggy ride alongside the harvester, allowing her to empty while simultaneously continuing to reap those perfect sorghum pellets, until the job is done.
