"And Woman I Will Try To Express My Inner Feeling and Thankfulness," "Woman", By Paul McCartney is one of my most favorite feel good songs. I love to watch the CBS Evening News. Since I can't get home in time to see the CBS Evening News I have it recorded and watch it when I can.  Sunday while catching up on past recorded broadcasts, Katie Couric mentioned that, that day, was International Woman's Day. This made me sit up straighter... International Woman's Day? I didn't even know there was such an animal. Yet, there stood a woman who was getting this year's award.  So checking into it I found that, yes, there is such a thing. It was originally called International Working Women's Day celebrated on March 8 and is a global recognition day for women.  The site I was reading said the recog...

Tonight you will be required to move your clocks forward one hour. Each year I may complain about having to fall back one hour and how an inconvenience this may be to me personally; but I do like Springing forward and having longer hours in the evening to show any listings! George Hudson first suggested the time change in 1985 to add daylight to afternoons. This in turn would benefit retailing, sports, and other activities that require a little sun after working hours. However, this in turn causes problems for other entertaining activities that require darkness. I can remember having to wait to go to the drive-in theater because the movies had to be viewed in the dark. Additionally, Day Light Savings Time saves electricity...you don't have to use much residential lighting at night. I do...

I always advise buyers of land to consult the governing city in which the land is located before any money has been discussed or paid. Recently I spoke with a gentleman who had purchased two lots in a city. He said that his plans were to construct two duplex's, one on each lot. He then would sell the duplex's to buyers for rental property. He wanted to know what type of permits he would need from the city and if there were any special ordinances governing this area that did not involve the permiting process. Because of my experience with municipality development he asked me to see his house plans and the building foot print. He knows I am a Realtor® and not a builder nor an architect but valued my input non the less and mentioned he might want me to be the selling agent upon completion ...

Pearland Farms Subdivision       One of the first things you notice when you enter the Pearland Farms Subdivision is its sign. It proudly states, "Pearland Farms: An Architecturally Historical Community." And it certainly lives up to its name! The houses in Pearland Farms are gorgeous!                 Brighton Homes is the builder in Pearland Farms.  Home prices range from the $180s - $260s.  No home built by Brighton is less than 1800 sq feet so you are getting a lot of room to grow!   What I like most about this community is that the design of the homes are a throw-back to craftsman-style homes of the 20th century but with a modern twist. Each house is rich in design character making it seem as if there are no two homes alike!           In addition to this community's beautiful ar...
