 North Richland Hills city council meeting January 26, 2015 Good day all,I was finally able to get this blog completed about the North Richland Hills TX city council meeting for January 26, 2015 done. I did some research about a few of the topics and had to call the city to get some clarification on others.  I hope that you find it useful information.The most contentious item at the meeting was the petition to repeal the city's new solar panel ordinance.  Many people think that the ordinance doesn't allow solar or is not solar friendly.  Mayor Trevino has said that this ordinance came about because of the city not having an official ordinance in place to begin with and also because of a citizen wanting to install a large ground mounted array that would have been an eyesore to neighbors.... 02/12/2015

  North Richland Hills Trash Service, Recycling program offers 65 gallon Carts Now! Happy New Year y'all!  I have to say that I am thrilled for the North Richland Hills changes to the recycling program.  Before you had those small 18 gallon buckets that don't hold much at all if you're the average American family that sucks down juices, sodas, beer, wine, newspapers, cardboard and more!  How was all of that supposed to fit into the 18 gallon bucket that's picked up once a week?  IT WASN'T and it DIDN'T.There are some new rules for putting this cart out on the street.  There are also new pricing considerations. Did you know we have a landfill that residents can visit 2X a year for free?I went in to the city to find out about getting another bucket.  I was told about the new 65 gallon car... 01/07/2015
