Well, it's back to school time.  You know what that means, lunchboxes, getting up and OUT the door on time AND the dreaded homework!   My boys started a brand new school today in a brand new city.  We moved to New Braunfels, Texas about 3 months ago.  So, let's just say that my little one (well, he's 9yrs old...but still my baby!) didn't get much sleep last night and was VERY nervous when we showed up.  It started in the car as I was driving him.  I asked if he wanted to go in by himself.  The answer was "yes, I'm fine Mom".  The closer we got to the school it turned into "can you come in with me?"  (This is the question that I was secretly wishing for...I hear from other parents that in a couple of years I will no longer be invited:))    We parked the car and walked up (let me set the ... 08/25/2008

Reality really set in this week when Target opened at Creekside..... My dove lease is gone forever. Growth has taken over in New Braunfels, TX.  Growth along the I-35 corridor between San Anonio, TX and Austin TX is unbelievable and New Braunfels is right smack in the middle. Let me intoduce you to: Target had a grand opening with the official ribbon cutting along with cheerleaders and of course The Oolmpah Band (New Braunfels Style). This is the Buzzzzzzzzz in New Braunfels. Seeral weeks ago I mentioned to someone that a wind came up and blew the baby swallows right out the nest. A few days later the "mom" I think it was the same one was back again. Yes, more eggs, more sitting, and here are five new little eggs. Now this nest is a work of art, it is on a lip of a ledge about one inch wide and she worked for days building this nest. Too me she could have found a better and safer place to build this nest; but every year for the last three years a swallow comes and constructs this work of art. Hope you enjoy our pictures.
