CITY OF MCKINNEY HISTORIC NEIGHBORHOODIMPROVEMENT ZONE TAX EXEMPTIONPROGRAMYOU MAY QUALIFY FOR TAX EXEMPTIONSAll homeowners located in the Historic Neighborhood Improvement Zone (HNIZ)could possibly receive tax exemptions on City taxes for 15 years if they qualifyfor one of the three levels outlined under the new HNIZ ordinance.PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMTo encourage the maintenance, rehabilitation, and preservation of the City'sunique and historic neighborhoods by providing tax exemptions to homeownerswho qualify.APPLICATIONTo participate in the program, contact the Historic Preservation Officer for theCity of McKinney or go online to see how you can qualify for the tax exemptionprogram.
