League City is a medium sized community in between Houston and Galveston on the Bay.  It is rapidly growing, but still has a main street with that downtown charm.  If you love boats and water sports, League City is the place for you.  You can be downtown in about 40 minutes and Galveston in about 30.  The people in League City are friendly and it gives you a sense of a close community.  You wouldn't know you are 40 minutes away from the 4th largest city in the nation. 03/27/2007
