Home Buyers - Pay Cash or Finance a Home Purchase in Katy TX ?  When you’re ready to buy a home, you have some options when it comes to how you’re going to pay for it. Paying cash means that you don’t have to wait to be approved for a mortgage, and in a competitive market, a cash deal could help you be the preferred buyer in a transaction. However, it also is risky to commit that amount of money, which could drain your savings and leave you with no cash backup in case of some emergency situation.  Mortgage rates are low right now, making now the time to lock in that low rate by financing your purchase. There are two sides to this situation, and I am here to assist you to make the right decision for you and your family. As an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) Professional Realtor,...

Almost Wordless Sunday - Sunset I like both sunset and sunrise pictures here in Katy TX plus experiencing the wonderful sight. I have told other folks this fact on several comments I have left over the years. My best sunset picture was taken in Newport Rhode Island during May this year but my camera got grabbed by someone when I put it down to look at merchandise in a store. The camera was an OK one but nothing to fret over,  however,  I lost my disk with pictures I had taken so far on the trip.  I am not sure exactly where we were when I took this sunset picture. I have a guess. Do you have an opinion as to where this might have been taken? My pictures will never compete with the excellent photographers we have here at Active Rain including my wife Yolanda.  Almost Wordless Sunday - Su...

Almost Wordless Sunday - Indy 500 May 2015 I was very fortunate to be able to attend the Indy 500 this past Memorial Day weekend. Our friend has purchased tickets for the race for several years now. I went in 2013 but had to skip last year as I had an out of town client here to view homes in Katy TX Memorial Day weekend. The race was tremendous with 4 cars finishing within one second of each other and Juan Pablo Montoya barely winning. The actual attendance is never released as they don’t have to release it. Estimated crowd was over 265,000 people were in attendance.I believe the last 50 laps found the crowd on its feet as the cars went past and everyone was cheering. Phenomenal experience to say the least.   Indy 500 does a remarkable job of honoring Veterans, current service men and w...
