Library Receives Texas Book Festival Grant The Flower Mound Public Library recently received a $2,500 grant from the 2006 Texas Book Festival, which will be used to help ensure that copies of popular materials are available for residents. These items include holiday titles, novels for teens, books for beginning readers, and Spanish-language materials. Many times new customers to the Library are looking for a specific, high-demand item and no copies are available to check out. This grant will help to alleviate this issue so that each Library visitor walks away with a book in hand. The Flower Mound Library was one of only 60 libraries to receive a grant, and the Texas Book Festival said that the Library's application was "one of the most compelling out of the many requests received."
