A three question test to satisfy yourself that you are going down the right path solidly with a business contact (or personal relationship) is as follows.... what THEY really want to know is: DO YOU CARE ABOUT ME? CAN YOU HELP ME? CAN I TRUST YOU? Keep seeing those three questions answered in the other person and if you keep coming up with three solid YESes, well you are on your way. It is just not TRUE. If things are not right, GIVE IT TIME. Whether real estate transactions, solutions to a weighty problem, relationship issues, etc. give it time. The Earth is always moving amongst the stars. Look at a box of photos of YOU and other family members, ten, 20 years ago. YOU ARE NOT THE SAME PERSON. "Change" is as persistent and constant as death and taxes. Even crazily some problems GO AWAY even if neglected. I wouldn't recommend that sit on the fence strategy but I have seen that happen. I've never been a big fan of mentors, coaches, and accountability partners for getting you to the NEW you state. Mainly cause they are not there all the time.
