Hello Readers, Selling your home over the Holidays can really make home owners a Scrooge. Here are 3 great tips for staying cheerful while listing your home this Holiday season.  1.  Ditch the holiday decor or make it meticulous.    No Charlie Brown trees, people. Staging your home at its festive holiday best can truly backfire if your seasonal staging comes off as amateurish or overdone. if your living room is already small and your marble mantel is the main selling point, crowding the room with a massive arboreal masterpiece (i.e., big tree), piles of gifts, life-sized reindeer-and-sleigh set and covering the entire mantle with faux snow and stockings will do more harm to a prospective buyer's first impressions than good.  If you decide to decorate, rethink it as staging with some hol...

Hello Readers, It seems like every weekend you have a list of things to do around the house. Make sure you when it comes time to take care of those house hold chores you stay safe and follow these great tips... Keep ‘em cleanStore tools in a covered box to protect them from dust and dirt. Wipe off grease because a slick handle can slip and hurt you. Size ‘em rightLook for scaled down tools that are just right for your size of hand, or tools made of lighter materials such as fiberglass hammers. Top heavy tools can strain your wrist. Stay off the top of the ladderDon't stand above the third rung from the top. If you lose your balance you won't have anything to hang on to. Be cord savvyPlugging a tool into an extension cord? There are three key benefits of a hot water on-demand system: Continous hot water-you are not limited by the size of a tank. More energy efficient because there are no standby heat losses. Standard systems use energy to maintain the water temperature. A hot water on-demand system is a small box mounted on the wall. You gain extra floor space by removing your old hot water tank. The main downsides are: The up-front costs are much higher, including purchase price and installation costs. It takes an experienced technician to select and install a system properly. DIY is not recommended. If your power goes out, you don't get any hot water. With a tank system, at least you have a tank full of hot water in reserve. Saturday in Dripping Springs was beautiful!  The sun was shining, it was about 84 degrees, But it sure was wet! The Rainwater Revival was a hit.  The information on Rainwater Collection and Storage was plentiful, from Green Builders, to Tanks, you couldn't have been in a more water friendly place.  The refreshments were wet too. With demonstrations regarding runoff water from farms and roads to eager to learn kids and adults, the Rainwater Revival Festival in Dripping Springs sure did enlighten me to the importance of water conservation.  Did you knowthat Texas leads the nation in rainwater collection?  Did you knowthat only 4-5% of rain that falls over the area ends up recharging the Trinity Aquifer?  Did you know we get our water from the Trinity Aquifer?  Did you know that 1,000 sf. ...
