Cedar Park High School (CPHS) has been honored as One of Newsweek's Top Picks for the 2010 America's Best High School List. CPHS ranked number 780 on Newsweek's best high schools list by earning its spot for being a school with a reputation as a rigorous academic learning environment for students, evidenced by its continued performance above state and national levels on the SAT, ACT, and the Texas TAKS tests. Another factor that helped CPHS make the list is the increasing number of advanced placement courses successfully completed by CPHS students. I recently had the pleasure of selling a lovely, well-kept home in the Town Center neighborhood of Cedar Park, Texas.  If you aren't familiar with it, the development is a newer DR Horton project with an old town feel.  Rear entry garages and tree-lined streets add to the appeal for many buyers.  The sale was made so enjoyable by my clients, who may be the nicest people in the world!  I was so glad to be a part of getting them back to Florida in time to welcome their new great-grandbabies into the world. If you need help selling your home in the Austin-Cedar Park-Leander-Round Rock-Pflugerville areas, or would like to find your new home there, give me a call at (512) 507-5779.  I'd love to hear from you and help you in the very same way!

The Veterans Memorial Advisory Committee recently gave a presentation to the Cedar Park City Council regarding the fundraising efforts the group has made, as well as its recommendations for a memorial monument. And now the new Cedar Park Memorial Monument has been approved. The memorial design that was chosen, the Beck design, originally had a price tag of $225,000. After some careful thought regarding the construction of the design, the final cost is projected to be $175,000. The updated design will be approximately 22-feet tall, with a bronze eagle to be etched into the monument above a military woman.
