Do you already have a real estate license in a state other than Texas? Can you legally practice real estate in Texas? NO!!!   "Texas does not have reciprocity with any other states with regard to real estate licensure. A Texas broker may share a commission with a foreign licensee so long as the foreign licensee does not engage in activities requiring a license in Texas. All negotiations conducted within Texas must be handled by a Texas broker." But, what if you are licensed in another state and want to be licensed in Texas? To Read the Rest of this post CLICK HERE!

This gorgeous property is a property that I helped some gracious clients buy last month.  It's a beautiful 4 beroom home across from a park in Bryan, Texas.  For those of you that are unaware of what great properties can be had for under $160K in our area this will be a real eye opener! The gorgeous front porch alone is a welcome sight! The yard is inviting and the house is well maintained! The house is over 2000 square feet and on a small, manageable lot near a golf course.  The rooms are large with the master downstairs and three other bedrooms up. For more homes like this recently sold Bryan home that are active on the market go to my website at www.ChrisTesch.com.  We'll make your nest something to crow about!

Recently in Bryan, Texas a railroad underpass for a major city street was completed. The railroad  location has been a problem for automobile traffic in both Bryan and College Station for many years.  The rail passes right through the middle of both Bryan and College Station.  The trains come at 8AM, Noon, and 5PM, the worst times possible for autos. They have to wait sometimes 10 minutes, which is bad at rush hours. Well finally an underpass was completed at Villa Maria Road in Bryan which allows cars to go under the railway. That in itself was great. What is icing on the cake is how nicely the project was done.  Attractive pleasant colors were used, along with some wonderful mosaic tile art work depicting different well known landmarks in the community. When you are stopped at the tra...

Construction of the New Toyo Ink International facility  is well underway in the Bryan Business  Park in Bryan Texas. This facility will manufacture and sell polymers, coatings, inks, and adhesives. It is supposed to produce approximately 5,000 tons a year. The plant is located on 22 acres on Harvey Mitchell Parkway and is a short drive from College Station and Texas A&M University. Toyo Ink is headquartered in New York.  This is a great new addition to the local economy!   Have a prosperous week! www.classicgmac.com

At Tuesday's Bryan city council meeting the city fathers  decided to delay discussions of annexing approximately 4,300 acres.. they feel more time is needed to study things.  About 266 homes and 306 individual parcels will be involved in the annexation.  Bryan is currently poised for real growth. With two recently developed golf courses and a large shopping center currently under way, much more growth is sure to come. Also several developers are actively studying possible developments in and near Bryan.  Stay tuned! Have a prosperous week! www.treythurmond.com

I have been asked by the Arkitex Studio at 308 N. Bryan Ave. to play my classical guitar this Friday at 5:30 to 7:30pm for their "First Fridays" of the month.  There will also be original art by Dick Davison. The "First Friday" is a program by a local "association created to revitalize and maintain the commercial and aesthetic viability of the historic business district of Downtown Bryan"  For more information go to www.downtownbryan.com  In other words, one the first Friday of the month, local downtown businesses stay open later into the evening so people can come by and hear come live music, or eat dinner, or maybe participate in an informational time with a guest speaker, or whatever the business dreams up for a little entertainment! When I am not busy selling real estate in Bryan/Co...

Not here in Bryan College Station! We are experiencing our tried and true strong steady appreciation that we've seen for decades. All over the news the economy is devastating and home prices are "Tanking". Not here in Bryan College Station, or the entire Brazos Valley for that matter. In a recent local market assessment we were able to determine at least moderate appreciation in every price range available here in BCS for the past two decades! Numbers aren't out yet but this summer seems to forecast exceptionally strong sales. Just this past week I personally entered into 3 separate "Multiple Full Price Offer" scenarios on 3 separate houses, in 3 separate price ranges, with 3 separate clients!!! Why are we so strong??? Along with the economic fortitude of Texas A&M University and our gr...
