Home For Sale in Northridge Park-78209 Northridge Park  in San Antonio is one of the near northside communities developed in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The home featured in this post is on a slab foundation with the oldest section completed in 1953. The area is served by the Alamo Heights Independent School District.   View Larger Map Northridge Park is about seven miles from the Riverwalk and maybe five miles from the very vibrant Pearl District. Not a high walk number for the community but it does not take long to drive or bike to nearby restaurants, grocery stores, or the pharmacy. The Quarry Market, Lincoln Heights, and North Star Mall are also within easy hailing distance. Originally most homes in the area had two bedrooms and one bath. Livable space was around 1,000 square fe...

Yesterday, I was reading a blog by John and Erma Nelson of Alamo Heights a suburb of San Antonio. In the blog, the schools of Alamo Heights were mentioned. Although, I did not live in Alamo Heights I was zoned there. I took an Algebra class there the summer before my freshman year in high school. I had been so “advanced” I was put in a class in 8th grade where you teach yourself and grade yourself amazing how I made an “A”. I then panicked and fessed up to my mom that I really felt I was weak in math and probably need to go to summer school before I went to high school. Alamo Heights is a really neat high school. I had a teacher named Mrs. Hamilton she was a tiny thing and although she was young she dressed like a proper school “marm” you read about. She wore the old fashioned su...

Homestead Exemption in Bexar County Property Taxes in Texas are administered by each county. For San Antonio, TX, we go through Bexar County Appraisal District.  Most first time home buyers and many experienced buyers and sellers are not really aware of the homestead exemption. Most buyers receive junk mail in January with different businesses offering homestead exemption processing services for a nice chunk of change. But you can do this for yourself for free with about half an hour or less if you have all the information you need, which you would have to gather to provide for these service providors anyway. Information needed for the homestead exemption form:   Name of owner completing the form and current address and phone numbers, drivers licence or social security number, birthdate...

Texas has always been a prime real estate investment.  Not only have properties continue to hold their value, city’s continue to expand and increase in value and on a whole, the crime rate is down per city compared to the national average. San Antonio is one area that features many values and among them is Alamo Heights.  Alamo Heights is one of the most appealing neighborhoods in San Antonio.   Somewhat upscale and truly a breath of fresh air, the neighborhood offers a variety of features including mom and pop shops, excellent restaurants, boutiques, and antique stores in the business district.   The high school is noted for its excellence as a college preparatory high school with many extra curricular activities and opportunities and challenging educational programs.  San Antonio surr...

A major part of Texas remains in the various cities throughout, one of the most significant San Antonio. All these homes are designed to provide the perfect accommodations for a certain type of person, with each community in San Antonio offering something for everyone. A great deal of San Antonio is made up of single family and ranch style homes, with most of the numerous neighborhoods offering top level living through other types of homes. Alamo Heights is perhaps one of the most lucrative living areas in the city of San Antonio, and perhaps the entire state of Texas as well. With houses that can range well into the lower millions, the condominiums are also...

Who Owns My Mortgage? by Ralph Roberts When trying to contact your lender to work out a payment plan or some other deal, knowing who owns your mortgage can be very helpful. Unfortunately finding out is not as easy as it sounds. You should be able to call the phone number on your last mortgage statement or the number in your payment coupon book and connect directly with your lender. More often than not, this merely puts you in touch with the servicer - the business that collects and processes your payments. In some cases, the servicer is prohibited from divulging the true identity of your lender. In other cases, the person you're dealing with has no idea who your lender is. Mortgages are often sliced and diced and repackaged into mortgage backed securities (MBS's) that are sold and trade...

The Ten Commandments of a Successful IDX Solution  Published on Monday, February 23, 2009, 1:04 PM Last Update: 3 hour(s) ago by Peyman Aleagha Tags: idx free idx realtysoft.com The Internet is changing the way that Realtors do business and market themselves to such an extent that many will not be around in a few short years. Survival of the fittest is the way of the world, and the fittest in real estate will be those agents and brokers who understand the new Internet consumer and how to engage them from first contact through a commission. The very first contact that most of you with websites or blogs will have with a consumer will usually be their visit to your site to search for listings. And, you will probably never know that they were there. They come anonymously, and they want to s...

Foreclosures HomeForeclosures CenterHow to Buy Foreclosures Overview Foreclosure is a process that allows a lender to recover the amount owed on a defaulted loan by selling or taking ownership (repossession) of the property securing the loan. The foreclosure process begins when a borrower/owner defaults on loan payments and the lender files a public default notice. The foreclosure process can end one of four ways: The borrower/owner pays off the default amount to reinstate the loan during a grace period known as pre-foreclosure. The borrower/owner sells the property to a third party during pre-foreclosure, allowing the borrower/owner to pay off the loan and avoid having a foreclosure on his or her credit history. A third party buys the property at a public auction at the end of the pre...
