With this post, I join the Millionaire's Club on Active Rain!I haven't been as "active" as I once was here, but it certainly has been "raining" as a result of my past efforts. When I joined in 2006, I didn't know that I'd make friends here, learn so much about real estate, and have fun!I  get phone calls about ordering a pizza (I wrote about a local pizzeria), adopting a pet (I wrote about a local no-kill animal shelter), wondering where the fireworks were on July 4th (we do KaboomTown here in Addison on July 3rd and I wrote about that, too), and many, many calls about real estate - all from my "local" posts.It's been a journey. There's an election about to happen in Addison, Texas. The mayor's seat and three council seats are up for grabs. The election is May 6th and early voting starts April 24th. The "M" word everyone fearsI have no idea why this came out sideways, any way to fix it would be appreciated. It was fine when I imported it.No one wants to hear or see the word "Mold" in their home inspection, but it happens doesn't it?Mold remediation can be very expensive. Mold typically grows in dark damp places... like in this case, inside the wall. What you are actually seeing is what is coming through the wall, it is very likely once we open that wall we will see logs more mold than you see right here.You are caught between a rock and a hard place sometimes. Many years ago, I showed a condo that was listed in the MLS to a buyer.  The photos depicted the unit as it was when the seller lived there, before he began his "remodeling" project. The price shown in MLS was fair based on the condition shown in the photos.Upon opening the door, the first thing that we noticed was  .... nothing! There was absolutely nothing in the condo.
