The Addison Community Garage Sale is back! On Saturday, May 4, 2019, you'll find the garage sale in the PetSmart parking lot, at 3800 Belt Line Road, just east of Marsh Lane.  Look for the huge white tent.Shoppers come from far and wide for this semi-annual event.Any resident of the town can reserve one "booth" per Addison address under the tent by submitting $20 and proof of residency (water bill, tax notice, lease agreement, drivers license) to the Town of Addison Environmental Services Department.  You get a table and 2 chairs, but you can bring more tables, clothes racks, display stands, saw horses and planks, you name it.Officially, set-up begins at 6:30 am and the wise shopper will be there that early, too.  Technically, the event opens to the public at 8:00 am (til 2:00 pm), but ...

Airbnb. VRBO. HomeAway.  These are some of the companies that coordinate short term rentals of either single rooms or whole houses. The Town of Addison is looking in to possibly regulating these short term rentals (for stays of 30 days or less). They're still in their soft opening, but you should check out Addison's newest Indian restaurant, Sigree, at 4145 Beltline Road, #218, Addison Texas!Located just west of Midway Road, you'll find them in the strip center with the UPS Store and The Hub, at the eastern-most end of the row. For those familiar with the area, Sigree is in the old Indian Haat location.A friend and I were there for dinner one night last week. The service was exemplary (thanks to the manager, Bryan) and the food was delicious! They're still waiting on their liquor license so we couldn't purchase adult beverages, but we were offered complimentary wine.
