The annual flu season is just around the corner. Achy joints, runny nose, watery eyes, feel bad all over; bummer. No one wants it but a lot of people are gonna get it..........unless........you get a flu shot. But help is at hand; today is "Flu Shot Saturday" in Knoxville. Started in 1992 by Knoxville physician Dr. Charles Barnett, Flu Shot Saturday has become a huge, annual event in the area administering thousands of free preventive flu shots to area residents.The vaccine is funded by grants from BlueCross Blue Shield of Tennessee, Knoxville Rotary Clubs, and other area businesses.
