The Linear Trail in Erwin Tennessee is one of my favorite places in the Tri Cities to spend a few hours in nature.  It is a well lit trail with paved trails along the Nolichuckey river.  From the start to finish it is 4 miles long, which is perfect if you are training for a distance event, or just out for a day away from the office.  Along the trail you will run along many Egrets and large turtles.  It's quite common to see 6-10 turtles sunning themselves along a large branch.  I train for my Susan G Komen walk on this trail.  I can get 8 miles in on one trail.  That is especially good, I don't get bored, the trees really provide great shade.   The Linear Trail Erwin Tennessee, a great trail, a great afternoon! For more information on the Tri-cities, be sure to look us up on line.

Can You Tell the Difference?   See if you can tell the difference between mountains in these states.  All these photographs were taken during our (Kwee Huset & her husband) long overdue vacation at the end of June 2014. We saw small sawmills in almost every state.       Arkansas - Rich Mountain lies in the Ouachita National Forest     Oklahoma – Rich Mountain     Kentucky – 55mph through mountains      Tennessee - after Zane Whitson Welcome Center near Erwin                    North Carolina - on the way to Asheville
