A much anticipated annual event is the Lake Tansi Gong Show. This is a combination of comedy show and talent contest. where local residents compete for cash prizes. While there was no show last year, we are trying to determine if there is enough interest to continue this tradition. They are looking for people with great talent and also folks with not so great talent who don't mind being "Gonged".The show is scheduled to be held in September, and they are also looking for people to help with the production work.If you think you might want to participate, please contact the P.O.A. office at 5050 Shoshone Loop, Lake Tansi, TN 38572. Or you can call them at (931)788-6721.

Affordability is sustaining the housing market in Tennessee. These are the findings of the University of Tennessee Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER).While the rest of country has seen a major slowdown in the housing market, Tennessee has been spared for the most part due to the general resiliency in the state economy. This relatively stable housing market should continue and we look forward to welcoming people from other parts of the country and showing them the wonders of living on the Cumberland Plateau.

County commisioners voted in May to adopt county wide building codes.  This will affect real estate in fairfield glade and Cumberland county.  It is hopeful that the code enforcement programe will be up and running in less than one year.  As a home inspector I think this is a very large step in the right direction.  What do you think?  Paul
