Columbia TN Home Sales Statistics - 2013 end of year Market Report Columbia and Maury County homes have been selling this year!  When considering single family home sales between January and November, the median sale price is up 14.7% from 2012 to 2013!  The median sale price for 2013 surpassed the median sale prices for the last 5 years!  This doesn’t necessarily mean that every home is worth more than previous years but the local market as a whole has greatly improved and is moving out of the down market we’ve experienced the past several years.  Likewise, the sales volume for 2013 has surpassed the volume of 2008.  Also, the median Days on Market has dropped and homes are selling faster than they have in 6 years!   Please note that real estate market conditions vary based on the spec... 12/16/2013

Columbia Tn Market Report - sales continue to improve during the month of April with 55 closings compared to 55 last year. The prices of Columbia Tn homes are rising also with the average price of sold homes coming in at $150,371 compared to $125,620 last year, and increase of 20 percent. Mule day in Columbia - I had the pleasure of attending a Columbia Tennessee tradition dating back to before the depression. This is a bigger deal than an outsider might think. The grand marshal was Naomi Judd, and almost everything associated with the south was in the parade.  It's just a couple of hours in the sunshine enjoying a good laugh. Most of you that follow my posts, know that I am constantly thinking out of the box and throwing in my 2¢'s worth every chance I get. Well, the other day, I coerced, fellow ActiveRain members Ellen Anderson and Aileen Schwendimann, kicking and screaming to my studio office to do a video presentation of one of their listings. (not really) Although nervous at first, they soon settled down and got into the act (literally and figuratively). Although, video presentations such as this are really nothing new, I do not see a lot of real estate agents use this cutting edge technology to promote themselves, their customers or their listings.
