Serendipity Sundays- Color is EverywhereFall has arrived in a big way with color everywhere I have looked this week. Fall flowers have not yet been dashed by the hard frosts and grass is still green, not yet wanting to give it up for the season. Temperatures have been regularly in the 60's but today was a true fall day of a warm sun, no wind and temps in the 40's. It was perfect and felt wonderful.Another sign that fall is here is the shadows and the shorter days. Now that Daylight Saving Time is over, it was dark by 4:30. That felt strange today but is part of what is necessary to reset nature's clock.  The purple plum trees are showing red leaves, I have seen some brilliant red maples, golden elms and maples.  The fall housing market is here and more inventory is on the market. Buyers...

Sunflowers The end of the summer is a little sad as the bounty of flowers die off and cease giving forth blooms. Some parts of the country have already had snowflakes and heavy frosts. Most of the flower blooms are succumbing to the cold nights and the lack of extended hours of warm sun during the daytime.  However, this sunflower is not ready to let go. It is standing tall and looks unaffected by the nights we have had in the 30's and 40's. I love seeing sunflowers in their bright yellow colors. Their strong stature and color show that fall hasn't overtaken all of summer's creation, not yet anyway.

HOAs Can Be Good or They Can Be Not So Good, Check Before You Buy If you choose to live in a condo or an HOA neighborhood, you need to know the rules before you buy. Most HOA rules make sense and are in place to protect the values and looks of the neighborhood. You also need to know what the master insurance policy covers and what you will be responsible for maintaining and covering. There could be some limitations that you may not want to live with. Check before you buy.  These areas of concern: Have you read the Master Deed and Covenants for the community? Are their limitations as to family size or occupants? Is the HOA fully funded and operating as it should? Are there any lawsuits against the association? Have there been special assessments and what were they for? Are any major pro...
