Yesterday, I was contacted by a buyer I am currently working with who is looking to buy a home in Brentwood TN. He is feverishly hunting for his new home on Zillow. Yes, I have warned him of the dangers doing so. However, yesterday's email to me revealed a new problem that Zillow may not have anticipated. Zillow has made it easy for sellers and agents to enter listings onto their site directly and syndication from other sources, rather than just syndicating them from the MLS. I'm sure this was another attempt on their part to gain marketshare by having the most listings on their website. In Tennessee, vehicles must be tested annually for emissions. When you receive your license plate renewal form each year, you will need to take that to the local vehicle emissions testing center. There is a $10 fee paid by cash, Visa or Mastercard. Once your car has passed this test, you will be able to renew your license plates. Previously, there was one location in Williamson County at 1005 Merylinger Court in Franklin. However, a new emissions testing center opened in Brentwood on Monday morning. The photo to the right is the line that I experienced yesterday while waiting at the Franklin location to get my annual test. It took me about 30 minutes until I finally got my car tested. Why can't I find anything affordable in Brentwood Tn - I get this question a lot, usually from parents who really want to take advantage of the best schools in the top school district in the county. The answers are simple. Brentwood has great schools because the city has resisted the temptation to build high density housing that leads to transient students. Apartments and condos make a lot of money for developers, and some cities allow an unlimited amount to be built, but so far, the city of Brentwood has not apartments, and very few condo developments. The result is that almost all of the students that start in Brentwood schools, graduate from Brentwood schools.
