According to RealtyTrac.com, there were 2,864 foreclosure notices (default notices, foreclosure action notices or bank repossessions) in South Carolina in February. I showed many homes today to a great new buyer.   One of them stands out the most. Buyers were excited to see it because it had a large screen porch and a pool and still had a decent size yard for kids and dogs, etc. How did the showing go? Vacant home, good lot, nice curb appeal Lockbox on front door easily popped open but the key didn't work on the front door. Thus, I reach over the gate, to pull open the latch, we enjoy walking by the pool and manage to get in the house through the back door.    --- Side note:  Sellers, you always want someone to walk in your FRONT DOOR.  You want them to get the layout and feel of the home from the front.  Even if you enter your home, through a side door 99% of the time and assume the next owner would as well... let BUYERS access the front until the... 08/19/2011
