Simpsonville, SC Real Estate News

(Keller Williams Greenville Central)
This week I have taken off for the most part with my nephew here. I have written several times about great things to do in the Greenville area and some even for free. I have finally gotten to go to one that I have wanted to that was right here in my back yard. Heritage Park has movies in the park on Tuesdays. I have even written a blog about it. We had a great time and got to see transformers. It was wonderful to sit out on the grass lawn with a blanket and see a movie under the stars. There are only two movies left so check them out before they are gone for the summer!

You looking for something to do on the 4th of July? Not really wanting to put on your own fireworks display in the back yard. Well Simpsonville is doing it for you!!! Gates will open at 4:30pm and there will be children's activities, concessiona and much more. Then at 7:30 the Greenville Symphony Orchestra concert starts and then at 9:00 fireworks start. It will be a great day spent at the park and you don't have to clean up the used firework shells. For a car load of 6 people, it is only $20.00 and you can buy tickets before you go. I am going to include the link to check out the fun and where to buy tickets. Hope you will go and enjoy! Click Here for More Details  Click Here to Purchase Tickets online

I hope that most people out there are as lucky as the people who live here in the great town of Simpsonville, SC. I look around all the time and find great things to do here in Simpsonville. But as most cities, our great city works hard to continue offering activities for the residents. As if we didn't have the best time at Freedom Weekend Aloft. I mean who would want to live in a place where you can hear great concerts and see hot air balloons from your front yard.   What a great park to visit if you haven't already: Heritage Park. Baseball,   a miniature train, walking trails, an amphitheater, festivals...and now movies in the park and a great place to spend July 4th! So here is the movie schedule: June 10th Facing the Giants June 17th E.T. The Extra Terrestrial June 24th Shrek 3 feat...

Many know about my love for not only coffee, but for the written word - I love reading books. While I fully use the internet for just about everything possible, I still buy books - that's right...I still buy books...off Amazon.com and have them delivered to my home. I so look forward to receiving that brown cardboard box with its treasures, I can hardly wait to open it and begin reading my latest purchase. My bookcases are full of current books as well as some that go back over a hundred years. Some authors from 100 years ago were pretty deep thinkers (helps to not have the distractions of TV, internet and so many leisure activities to fill our schedule with)! It's an odd contradiction how I embrace much of todays wonders, yet still cling to the past as well. Putting my thoughts down, ...

The Short Sale in Greenville County South Carolina is a series of articles for sellers and buyers to better understand what a short sale is and how to proceed with closing with a short sale. In order to understand where we are at in the series please read part 1.   Just because you own a house in Greenville County South Carolina and you have found out that you owe your lender more money than what a buyer is willing to pay for your property does not mean you are going to be able to just sell your house for less than what you owe your lender.   You must pass the Hardship Test. There must be a good and provable reason why you can not keep your home any longer. The Hardship Test: Ask yourself these questions and look at your situation to see if it will pass the hardship test. Have you lost...

You know all too often after work we go home, have dinner and sit in front of the TV. Sometimes we don't even talk to each other as we watch TV. What happened to asking the person you live with, "How was your day?" and actually listening to them. Recently my husband had a change in schedule. He use to work 2pm to 2am. Now he works from 7:30am until 5:30pm. He then goes to the gym and gets home at 7pm. So we eat when he gets in. Then like so many others, we sit down and watch TV. He looks over at me after a week of this and says, "Is this what people do in the evenings." You know hearing him say this struck something in me. It is what people do, but why? There are so many things to do around Greenville, WHY DON'T WE GET OFF THE COUCH AND GET BUSY? My husband I decided that even if it is...

Simpsonville South Carolina is a great town.  It's got many of the amenities of a large city, but it has a small town atmosphere.  For instance, you can go down to Barefoot Annie's coffee shop on SE Main Street and enjoy a laid-back session with a local musician, or you can go walking on Main Street and look at the shops.  Near the interstate, there's several major department stores, and everything in-between.There are several nice parks in Simpsonville, including many sports fields (including the one I play ball at).  Simpsonville Public Works does a great job of maintaining them, keeping them in top shape for everyone to enjoy. Many great subdivisions lie in and around Simpsonville, with price ranges starting under 100,000 to a million.  Just about anyone can find what they're looking ...

This is my chance to write about, what is without a doubt, my favorite place to live. I have never lived in a location that by itself was so beautiful and full of charm, but also has my type of seasons(never any serious snow or humid weather). I lived in NH and SW Florida!I was told by people who did not know this area: You won't be happy. To rural......WRONG.......Simpsonville is the best. It may sound corny, but nothing beats sitting out on my deck with a cup of coffee and reading the Greenville News in the morning...Love that morning air.The proximity to just about anywhere you would want to go is amazing. Plus all the major retail outlets are here and my family loves them.I believe I have been very fortunate to find Simpsonville, SC.  It is my final home, God willing, and a place I ...

Perhaps I'm biased.  No, scratch that, I'm definitely biased... but if you're looking for a great place to live, then you may want to check out the Simpsonville SC Real Estate Market!  Our town of Simpsonville (Simple-ville to residents) has grown by leaps and bounds, and yet has not lost it's laid-back, true Southern feel.  Simpsonville is now home to many retailers, such as Target, Wal-mart, Lowes, and many others.  You can find just about any kind of restaurant within the city, including some awesome pizza joints.  New subdivisions go up like crazy, and the houses are selling!  There are several parks in Simpsonville, which contain several great sports fields (I play baseball on one of them!), an ampitheatre that can hold 16,000 people, as well as great places to play.  There are oth...
