Why Live in Pendleton SC?   Pendleton SC is a small picturesque town on the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor. It offers southern hospitality and a glimpse into an era of days gone by.  In the fall of 1970, the entire town and an area extending into Pickens County to Hartwell Lake was placed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district. It is one of the largest historic districts in the nation. There is an abundance of history on every street.   Do you love antiques?  You must visit one of the many gift or antique stores in downtown Pendleton. If you are interested, I just found out that the S.C. Department of Natural Resources and Clemson University's Research Farm Services will sponsor a youth/adult dove hunt on the opening day of mourning dove season Saturday, Sept. 4. This is a one-time hunt, and the field will only be open for this opening-day hunt. The field is located near Pendleton in Anderson County at the Simpson Agriculture Station. I am wondering if I will be able to hear it from my house because I live pretty close as a crow flies to the place they are having the dove hunt. For more information on the youth/adult dove hunt, call the Clemson S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) office at (864) 654-1671, extension 16, or send an e-mail to MortonR@dnr.sc.gov. All participants must have an adult, 21 years or ol...

Billie's lack of social graces embarrasses even Harry, who decides that Billie must be taught some of the amenities and a few basic facts. For the task, he hires Paul Verrall, the young, idealistic reporter who has been investigating political skullduggery and is interested in Brock's activities. Paul finds that Billie has a natural honesty and a frankness about her, and ...

If you are in the mood for a spooky good time I suggest you check out The legend of Sleepy Hollow at the Clemson Little Theatre. The Clemson Little Theatre is located in the Pendleton Playhouse at 214 S. Mechanic Street in Pendleton, SC. This is a Clemson Area Youth Theatre production directed by Fe Whoolery and is full of Halloween spookiness and fun. Ichabod Crane has come to Sleepy Hollow in search of the good life ... and a wealthy wife who will supply it. One night at a party, Ichabod proposes to local beauty Katrina Van Tassel, but he is run off by her boyfriend and must then make his way home through a terrible storm. Along this dark journey he is pursued by something shadowy and towering ... something intent on taking his life. Can the tales of the Headless Horseman be true? Poo...
