By: Darcy CreaturoWith all the growth in Mount Pleasant SC in the past few years, there aren't many quiet, uncongested areas left to buy or build a home. Back Bay Village was designed with that in mind. The setting for the community is wooded, marsh and peaceful. With 57 lots, most at least a third of an acre, it is an upscale custom home community. The Developer, Ed Goldberg of Atlanta, added three fountain filled ponds and plenty of green space. Sidewalks and walking paths run throughout. A community sightseeing stand gives residents impressive views of the marsh. According to the Post and Courier, Ed Goldberg said the layout of Back Bay Village is his vision of what a neighborhood in the South should be. Big porches, sidewalks on both sides of the street, walking trails - they all he...

The job we finished tonight has to be my favorite job ever.  I could live here.... yes, I've said that before with the french beach house - L'escale.  This home surpases that one, however.  This one actually shows a lot of my personal style, in case you've ever wondered.  These actually are the colors of my own personal home.  The colors in the home, especially the kitchen dictated the color scheme throughout.... If I had a million dollars to spend on a home right now, I would be writing an offer....         This home was vacant and we were fortunate to have just purchased a large amount of fabulous inventory at a sale last weekend.  I absolutely personally love the way this home turned out... As if the home itself weren't beautiful enough, don't you wonder what what's out the windows.....

Rates are Down, Home Sales prices are down, Why are you waiting to buy your next home? FEAR? Of what? That you may buy too early and miss that quarter percent decrease in the mortgage rate? Maybe, fear that if you purchased now you'd miss buying at the very bottom of the market. Possibly you've been listening to the news propaganda about mortgage companies aren't lending any money. Whatever the reason get over it. The market today is the best buyers market in years. An overabundance of inventory has home prices the lowest in years. Will the prices go lower? They might slowly inch down a few thousand dollars more. I can assure you this though, when they start to go up, they will rise quickly. Not by thousands mind you , but by tens of thousands of dollars. Overnight the prices will escal...

This is an email from a very good agent who has over 12 years of experience. It can happen to you. Agents always know who you're dealing with, if uncertain lock them out and call your listing service or home office. Homeowners- NEVER let anyone in unless they are accompanied by your agent or a licensed agent. Ask for the agents pocket card. This is his/her state issued license. Don't take for granted that just because they have a business card they are safe. When in doubt call your agent. DO NOT LET THEM IN! A licensed agent understands your safety concerns and will not be put off waiting a few minutes while you verify the information.  The agent realizes she was wrong and feels terrible about the incident. As she says let's all learn from her mistakes.PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO ALL AGENTS!...

This is a new small community being developed, I believe, for the Lower Income Workforce Families which is needed in the Mount Pleasant area. It comprises of 23 new single family homes, just off US Highway 41 in the historic Phillip's Community which dates back to former slaves or "freedmen" who settled here in the 1870's.
