Are You Down With OPP? As a big fan of Oliver Purnell, and therefore a member of the OPP (Oliver Purnell Possee) it is great news to report that Fayette County High School (GA) standout Noel Johnson signed an athletic aid agreement Tuesday morning with the Clemson men's basketball program. The addition of Johnson, a consensus top-100 prospect, puts the finishing touch on what was already a top-25 signing class for Head Coach Oliver Purnell.

2 stories about Clemson Athletics that might interest those with orange blood: Former Clemson All American Wins the Big One  Lucas Glover in his 5th year on the PGA tour won the big one, the US Open. Clemson is known for not just baseball, football and basketball but almost every sport they compete in they seem to be making an impact. But considering the number of great golf courses in the Upstate it no surprise that a US Open winner would be from around here. ACC Football Championship Game Back in Prime Time The Atlantic Coast Conference's 2009 Dr Pepper Football Championship Game will return to prime time national television this year, with an 8 p.m. (ET) kickoff on ESPN. Why it was not in prime time is beyond me but thank goodness it is back where it should be!

I thought I would pass this on for those parents looking for a good way to entertain the kids during spring break. Weather permitting, the Clemson Police Department's seventh annual Law Enforcement and Public Safety Expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Nettles Park. The Pickens County and Anderson County sheriff's offices, the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Liberty and Mauldin police departments are among the 20 public service agencies that will be on hand. The railroad police will bring a simulator for kids to drive, and K-9 units and a golf cart to demonstrate DUI will also appear. The thing that really caught my eye was that free food - consisting of hot dogs and hamburgers - and free drinks will be provided throughout the day.

I had the opportunity to stop by Big Dave's BBQ Restuarant in Clemson today after showing some property in Walhalla. I always try to stop by Big Dave's if I am in Clemson. If you like BBQ, be sure to stop by. Big Dave uses only hogs raised at Clemsons Agriculture Department. And Big Dave has feed the like of the Dallas Cowboys, the Carolina Panthers, & of course the Clemson Tigers. I am a big guy but one pork sandwich will fill me up, but if really hungry I try to get the plate because the side dishes are just as good as the BBQ. He is located right on the main drag at 1060 Tiger Blvd in a very convenient location. He even will cater. My mouth is starting to water just remembering todays delicious lunch. So please stop by and check out Big Dave's, you will not be dissapointed!

Way-to-Go, Clemson! This year Clemson University has taken the honor of the College with the Happiest Students, by the Princeton Review. The Princeton Review reviews all Universities and Colleges around the United States to find the top schools of this and that, then publishes them.According to the survey, Clemson football and outdoor activities are the reasons Clemson's students are the happiest.                                                                                                Trust me, from personal experience this place is pretty awesome. The whole town not just students expound school spirit. From the painted tiger paws on the streets leading into and out, to the majority of stores incorporating tiger paws on their buildings, this town shouts . . . GO TIGERS! This is n...
