Hi ya'll, guess what.....we still have lots of money to lend and I actually have not had a problem closing my loans at all. I realize the world has gone bonkers over the next possible  great  depression BUT guess what....people are still buying homes with good ol fashioned VA, FHA and State Housing loans. And NO, you don't have to have perfect credit...why just yesterday I closed an FHA with a 602 middle score and a VA with a 580 middle score. So, just to reiterate this for you first time home buyers. The gates of the eagerly anticipated Coastal Carolina Fair will open on Oct. 30th this year at 3pm.  The fair is held annually at the Exchange Park in Ladson SC, just north of Charleston off of I-26.  My friends, this is no average fair, at least not one I grew up around.  This fair is huge with an abundance of rides, games, exhibits, and entertainment.  I grew up in a small town is south Louisiana.  Our parish fair took about 10 minutes to make a loop around everything.  The Coastal Carolina Fair takes about an hour to an hour and a half to make a loop around the entire fair.  Its more like a miniature amusement park.  Below is some general information about the fair this year taken from the website. I have been looking all over Charleston for a great closing gift ideas and finally found the best gifts ever! Market Street Munchies and Gift Baskets are ideal, not outrageously expensive, and everyone loves them. It's amazing how many Loan Officers don't even attend their closings. What a wonderful way to end on a good note, bond a little more and of course to remind them to refer their friends and family who may need your professional mortgage loan expertise. I have also discovered that who ever doesn't show up to the closing table is the one who gets blamed for all negative aspects of the transaction. It seems that my advice, market knowlege or thoughts are always needed and or welcome at the closing table. A couple of weeks ago my business partner, Bevin, and I had a long morning meeting in West Ashley.  When it was over it was about lunch time and she wanted to grab a bite at one of her favorite local places.  I had never heard of the Bluerose Cafe but love Irish food (notice my red hair - Irish & German I am).  The meal was to die for and reasonably priced, but best of all the service and hospitality was some of the best I've had in Charleston.
