Carolina Forest Myrtle Beach SC - 843 REALTOR The Carolina Forest section of Myrtle Beach SC is coming alive again with the sound of new construction. The Myrtle Beach 1% Tourism tax has become the Carolina Forest Tourism Tax. The additional 1% Tourism Tax that the Town of Myrtle Beach approved was to be placed on the City of Myrtle Beach. The tax is improperly taxing the residents of Carolina Forest. Carolina Forest is located just outside the city limits of Myrtle Beach and is considered the unincorporated area of Horry County.  Carolina Forest does have a mailing address of Myrtle Beach but is not located in the city limits. When purchasing or moving into a home in Carolina Forest Myrtle Beach it is important the new resident verify they are not improperly taxed. During the moving process new homeowners often mail order or have shipped furniture, bedding, appliances and other items. http://www.843realtor.com/Carolina-Forest-Real-Es...

Now that Twitter and Bing are married, your micro blogging can actually score you some major SEO brownie points.   I tweet my blogs to increase my web presence.  I simply go over to my outside AR blog roll on a regular basis, pull up an old post, shorten its browser address by using the bit.ly service, then Tweet it with an enticing by-line.  I go back afterwards and analyze my statistics (Bit.ly will show you exactly how many people have clicked on that particular link). It works!  Here is an example:  Price it Well. Stage it well. Watch it Sell! http://bit.ly/E2xqT #RealEstate #p2   Now that your Twitter presence gives you Bing exposure, it’s a shame not to use it to drive traffic to your ActiveRain blog and to your website.  BTW, if your blog roll is still called “Annie’s Blog” ...

Best I-Phone App of the Week: After trying a bevy of mortgage calculator applications I finally had a Eureka moment this week when I found my one and only, hands down the Best Mortgage Calculator around.  It’s called CalcsFree – Mortgage Calculator - With Estimated Tax Savings, from Mortal Geek LLC. This thing is remarkably easy to use, yet it is packed with everything you could possibly need.  Simply put: it makes me look good.  I can zoom through and paint an accurate financial picture, which I can immediately e-mail to my client.  You can whip out a 5, 7, 10 year financial analysis showing interest and principal paid, pre-tax, after tax, the whole nine yards.  You can include all other costs associated with ownership, so your client can know exactly how much money to budget for the ...

After you create your Twitter profile, this is what you need to know:  the magic on Twitter only unfolds AFTER you follow some interesting people and entities.  Your Twitter experience rests solely on that.  If you follow silly people who text each other banal messages, you will simply have that limited experience.  If, however, you are like me, a hog for information, and you follow the right Twitterers, you too will have an extraordinarily enjoyable experience and learn a lot in the process.  Here are some valuable websites that will help you maximize your Twitter experience:   http://wefollow.com/   Shows who's who on Twitter in all areas of interest and all niches.   http://twitterholic.com/   Find out who the top Twitter users are; it even shows your own ranking.  It was intriguin...

I had 'sort of' a day off for my Birthday.  I was finally able to collect my thoughts and relax.  I put together this video of my last vacation, perhaps as a reminder that I need to take another vacation soon.   Working seven days a week, almost non stop, makes one dull and old.  Vacations are that reminder that life is Grand!  Enjoy!    Mirela Monte, Your Myrtle Beach Connection                               Join The Optimist Group!

Most kids garner their education from schools.  The typical curriculum of English, math, history, geography, chemistry, anatomy, etc. is followed, but are our kids ready for the Real World armed with such perfunctory education?   Here are some subjects I thought we could add to the list mentioned:   •1.     Ethics.  Analyze case scenarios and have open discussions about what's ethically right and wrong and why.  How else are they going to know? •2.     Nutrition and Exercise.  With vending machines dispensing soft drinks now prevalent in schools, we are grooming the next generation of obese Americans.   We need to cultivate proper indoctrination into a healthier way of life for our children. •3.     Safety.  Without scaring them, we need to ensure they know what to do to stay safe. •4...

Located in the French Basque territory, with Basque flags and symbols still prevalent throughout Biarritz, this charming Seaside Resort in Southwestern France is only a few miles from the border with Spain, on the Atlantic coast.   We arrived there at dusk and were immediately swept off our feet by its beauty, both of us falling in love with this idyllic place filled with mystique.  As the last rays of the sun bathed the ample beach and classic lines of the buildings, enveloping everything with an almost magical air, one could easily lose himself in reverie.  The faraway lighthouse on the hill, beaming its beacon out to sea, enveloped in a light mist, making it seem even more surreal; the majestic Casino on the boardwalk, the streets filled with lots and lots of people strolling the Fr...

After much hoopla and delay the Postal Way connection opened last week...  The opening was scheduled for the end of August 2008 -- Unforeseen water pipes and inclement weather pushed the project months behind.  However, now that it is complete, the roadway is alleviating some of the traffic off the Carolina Forest interchange near the Kroger's and Piggly Wiggly shopping centers. The community's off of Gardner Lacy Road will benefit from Postal Way - they will be able to access all the offerings of Carolina Forest shopping areas without ever touching HWY 501. All the community's off of Carolina Forest Blvd that have kids that go to CF High School  will be able to get their children there with out ever setting a wheel on HWY 501.

For the first time in 6 years, property prices in Dubai are finally following the pattern of prices everywhere else in the world: in October they fell by as much as 19%!   The government is the number one Real Estate Developer here and this plummet will certainly affect Dubai's economy.   Read the full Wall Street Journal article here.   Myrtle Beach Real Estate by Mirela Monte                       Join The Optimist Group!
