The "Get to Know Me" Blog Post. A little about you...I am a lifelong resident of East Providence. I am married with two children and one really little dog (5lb min pin). I enjoy reading, exercising and spending time with my family. Why the mortgage field as a career? My strong points have always been providing outstanding customer service and having the ability to solve problems. Both skills I get to use everyday in the mortgage industry. What did you do before the mortgage industry? From 1995-2000, just before I joined Shamrock Financial as a loan officer, I had worked as a sales and leasing consultant for Herb Chambers Honda in Seekonk Ma. For four years prior to that I delivered pizza for Papa Gino's while I attended college.I also have some experience working in sales and driving fo...

The fundraiser hosted by the Waddington School PTA and the Seekonk Papa Gino's appears to have been very successful. This fundraiser helped with the after school Chance to Dance program that is new to the school this year.Seeing such a large group of children and their families coming out to support their school was a nice sight. Every table, booth and chair was filled. The register had a line and there were plenty of people waiting for their orders to be called. Papa Gino's seemed to be at full capacity with how many grammar school kids could be squeezed in. This seemed like a great opportunity for the kids to enjoy some pizza and run around with their friends outside of school. Overall this fundraiser seemed to be a big win for the restaurant with all the extra traffic, a big win for...

The St. Brendan Church Holiday Bazaar was this past Saturday, November 14th. There were many vendors set up, a nice variety of hand made products and a decent amount of people shopping. There was another craft fair that day as well at the East Providence High School but it sounds like most of the traffic was in Riverside at St. Brendan's Church. There were some really nice raffle items as well that my family tried for. An Apple iPad. A 50" Tv. A base model Xbox 360. My daughter also made her first appearance at the Bazaar as a vendor this year with her uniquely shaped crayons.

This is Riverside RI? Yes! This pretty shot was taken at Rose Larisa Memorial Park in Riverside. The Rose Larisa Memorial Park is located directly across the street from The Looff Carousel at Crescent Park. This park sits on 10 acres of waterfront property. There are plenty of well placed benches to sit on and enjoy some really pretty views of Narraganset Bay. If you want, pack a cooler and bring a blanket or take advantage of one of the many picnic benches. There are ones place under the shade of some of the trees as well as some set to receive plenty of sunshine. After, you can stroll across the street and take a ride on The Looff Carousel and do your best to snag a brass ring!

Last month, the much anticipated new playground specifically for preschool children and those with special needs was built. Just a little touching up, otherwise it looks like everything is good to go and right on time for classes to begin this upcoming week. The location is where the basketball hoops had been and it sits about 60 feet away from the exiting play set for the 1st through 5th grade students. Several of the classroom also received upgrade classroom entrances with new wheelchair friendly ramps for easier exit and entrance.
