Has anyone heard anything about H.R. 1728?   This is bill has been created to amend the Truth in Lending Act and is reform for consumer mortgage practices, provide accountability and to provide certain minimum standards for consumer mortgage loans.   It permits a consumer to assert a right to mortgage loan rescission as a defense to foreclosure.   The Bill makes the following changes to the current law: 1. Extends the deadline from Dec. 1,'09 to Jan. 1, '11 2. Eliminates the income restriction to qualify for the credit 3. The stock market hit 9000 yesterday, first time since January 2009.  They say that a few of the reasons are: Realestate up in June 3.6% Ebay is up AT&T is up Cash for Clunkers up to $4500 for trade ins. The Fishing Derby was a big success. This was the 10th year for the derby. Ten years ago there were 40 kids this year there were approx. 175 kids. The kids got to stock the lake with fish. The kids walked away with a hat and some type of door prize and most of all great memories. I just had to share this. Today I received a call from a buyer. This buyer called another local national company prior to me in the area to see homes. The other agent said there was only one house in their price range.  After I did a search I surprisingly found 8 in that price range. The reason why the other agent said 1 (one) is that is how many listings the agent has in that price range. The buyer was surprised to know that there were 8. My comment was "we show every ones listing". The agent said something that the buyer did not like and the next call was me. We here this often from buyers in my area about this same agent.
