Today, I read an article telling buyers that they should fire their Real Estate agent if they own a computer. Usually, when I read something like this, my blood pressure would increase. I would get upset and feel like I had to call someone and vent. Instead, I laughed. I thought about all the for-sale owners there were and how many ended up listing their homes with an agent.  Statistics show that 97% of for-sale by owners list their house with an agent. There was a time when I did very well working primarily with for sale by owners.   They did not feel they needed to pay an agent to help them sell a house. Debe Maxwell, CRS asked what am I thankful for this year.Well, after thinking and shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, I thought about one of my favorite side dishes that I would like to share as I usually do every year.  That is a simple one homemade Cranberry Sauce .I was thankful I thought as I was looking for apple cider I would do a different variation that I thought would be great in case some people were also making a ham. Ok, let's start out with the basics one bag of fresh cranberry's . Take the cranberries and drain and rinse in a colander. Measure one cup of sugar, brown or white sugar can be used, it is a matter of taste. Today I am thankful to take the day off. The temperature dropped from  a high of 70 degrees to a high of 45 degrees. What a difference. I had all these plans, but when I woke I had a horrible migraine .  I did think after a cup of coffee and something to eat, perhaps it would go away .  The cup of coffee went down alright and of course my Cleo was waiting for her breakfast. She will meow for her Meo Mix cup of wet food and today she was rather loud as when I looked at the clock I noticed I had slept later than usual but I had had a rather busy stressful week and felt entitled.  I made a bagel. I do enjoy Baking on these cool fall days, but I miss my old Neighbors because after I baked I would knock on their door and hand them half the Banana Bread I had Baked knowing they would enjoy it . The smiles on their faces always made feel  wonderful inside I would always make different variations  just to see which ones came out the best . It never mattered to my neighbors Rick and Joe they always loved whatever I made .The other day I found a recipe I love . There is a little friend I live with and I am very thankful for her every day she has beautiful blue eyes that sparkle with love . When I pull my car up, she runs to the door to see me. When the phone rings she very often will be saying Hello if you listen carefully if I do not answer right away .   She loves to watch TV, especially YouTube. What are we Thankful for this is a question asked by Debe Maxwell, CRS  ?  There is so much I am thankful for this holiday season . First off I have moved and just getting settled in my new place . I just absolutely love it, although it was so stressful with packing up all your belongings it was all worth it ..  I loved shopping for new furniture. I am so thankful I was able to find a beautiful and unique chrome and mirrored fireplace that finally was delivered  right in time for the cold weather .It is a perfect addition to the living room. The fire changes colors and you can set the controls to whatever temperature you want the room to be . The other feature I will be able to fit up to a 65" TV on top .  Although I like daylight saving time I was under the radar today. I think it was my allergies . Hoping I am not coming down with an upper respiratory infection because I am due for my 3rd COVID  shot and I would have to delay it. So today was the first truly warm and comfortable meal I ever cooked in my new place. First, I cooked  the chicken legs with mushrooms. Then was chicken soup with matzo balls. I had carrots and broccoli in the fridge too so it was pot luck soup even had some mushrooms  . It came out delicious . No onions as there was a recall on onions last week as well as lettuce  . Even Cleo ate the chicken and that is really something as she does not eat table food. The place really smelled wonderful.  I hope everybody has a good night and beautiful dreams.

My mom used to sing a song called "Second Hand Rose" that was a song about a woman wearing used clothes. Why am I telling you about this, well, some of the deals I have found this week were in Thrift shops? Philadelphia Mills has a store called "Second Ave " it is on the outside of the mall but easy to find. After my hunt for an electric fireplace with mantle that I have found at Odd Lots at a great price on Sale for $249 going home to measure to see if the height fit as it is beautiful. Loews also has some great looking fireplaces. I stopped in this store called  "2nd Ave" They had some really nice things.      Let's discuss the Philadelphia election. Last night at Delaire Landing, the Democratic Party had a candidates' night. I'm assuming there aren't many Republicans. Charles Peruto Jr., who is running for district attorney in Philadelphia, says, "Enough is Enough," he is one of Philadelphia's most powerful criminal lawyers. He wants to stop gun violence on the streets of Philadelphia. He is not running for the money. This man knows how criminals think. He knows what makes them tick. Well, I would guess most of you would know I have disappeared from writing for a bit as I was busy moving. Word to my clients I have a deeper understanding of the stress involved in moving. Let's talk about Delaire Landing a Gated Waterfront Community in the Torresdale Section of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. So much has happened it is Fall in this beautiful development. The trees are turning colors and a new fence has been put up along the river for safety purposes. There has also been some mesh wiring put up on the fencing another safety issue. Over the years the drop to the river has increased and become dangerous. Forget your bags when you shop? Yes you will need to bring cloth shopping bags when you go food shopping in Philadelphia as it is against the law for stores to use plastic bags. When you look at all the liter around the City you see particles or masses of plastic bags hanging about .In order to fight and manage  the liter all about the city no more plastic bags in the City of Philadelphia.When I went shopping I did remember to bring to bags. I purchased more food than expected and they had awesome candles so the bags would be too  heavy. They did offer very nice bags for .33 cents made of non woven polypropylene which are  re-useable and does hold quite a bit of food. Glad I purchased them.
